Anyone have a link to the batteries?

If this has two large batteries that are bigger than AA batteries, they are technically 18650 batteries, can find them on Amazon or eBay. Panasonic makes a good 18650 battery. I bought a similar looking fan to this one and it has a battery pack built in and that's harder to say what it would take to replace the battery pack.

Can you use it while it’s charging?

Yes! I love this fan - bought one as a gift and then ended up getting one for myself. USB is the way to go! Holds a great charge and the 3 speeds on the fan are awesome.

How do you remove the batteries? Directions say to take the battery out if it will not be used for a period of time. See no way of doing so.

Not sure where you saw that info but it may be referring to the old version that did not come with a battery prebuilt into it. The new version has a built in rechargeable battery you recharge with a micro usb, and is not removable to my knowledge.

How long does it take to charge the batteries?

I plugged it in at bedtime, charged over night.
