Connecting UniFi Dream Router 7 to Netgear GS316EP
The Netgear GS316EP switch has an SFP port, and so does the Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Router 7, so why not make use of those ports as the uplink port! Works great. I have the UDR7 mounted to the wall with a special bracket, and I was worried about the cable sticking out too much, but it fits fine. About the same wire clearance you'd expect with a standard Ethernet cable.

High-quality DAC cable at a great price.
I used this 10Gtek SFP+ DAC Cable to link my server directly to my UniFi USW-Pro-Max-48 switch. It was recognized instantly with no compatibility issues or manual configuration needed. The connection is rock solid at full 10Gbps speeds. If you're looking for a reliable and affordable alternative to the official Ubiquiti cables, this is a perfect choice.

Would purchase again without hesitation
This cable was used to efficiently connect two UniFi switches. Itโs been in service for a month and has had zero issues.

Don't buy the long cables.
This is a review of the 7M cable. I've used the shorter cables with no issues, so I gave the 7M cable a try. I purchased two and wasn't able to get LINK with either of them, even when replacing a previously functional cable run with them. Short cables are easy. Long cables require better engineering. 10Gtek doesn't have better engineering.

Excellent Plug-and-Play DAC for All-My UniFi 10G Setup โ Short & Sweet Perfection
I grabbed this 10Gtek 0.42m SFP+ DAC Twinax cable to link up some nearby UniFi devices in my home lab rack here in Jacksonville. Specifically, it's connecting my UniFi Switch Aggregation (the 10G uplink beast), a UniFi Switch Pro (with SFP+ ports), and the SFP+ port on my Dream Machine Pro โ all pure Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem. The super-short 1.4ft / 0.42m length is spot-on for tight rack spacing with zero extra cable clutter. Pros: Seamless UniFi compatibility โ Instant recognition across all my Ubiquiti UniFi gear: the Aggregation switch, Pro series switches, Dream Machine Pro, and even older SFP+-capable UniFi models. No "unsupported module" warnings, no need for any hacks, custom EEPROM coding, or firmware workarounds. It behaves just like Ubiquiti's own UACC-DAC-SFP10 cables (or the Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU0.42M it's cloned from). Solid build for the money โ Connectors seat firmly (a tad stiff on insertion/removal, but that's reassuring for no accidental disconnects), the twinax is nicely flexible without being flimsy, and it stays cool with no noticeable heat even during sustained full 10G loads. Flawless short-haul performance โ iperf3 tests clocked steady ~9.4 Gbps bidirectional with basically zero packet loss, jitter, or retransmits. Latency is negligible, as you'd expect from a passive copper DAC in a short run. Massive savings over official UniFi โ This cost me a fraction (roughly 1/4โ1/5) of genuine Ubiquiti UACC-DAC-SFP10 cables of similar length, and I've seen zero practical downsides in my all-UniFi environment. Ideal for rack-tight connections โ At just 0.42 meters, it's perfect for stacking or adjacent UniFi switches/routers without messy cable loops or management issues. Cons: Pull-tab is on the small/thin side โ Fine for occasional swaps, but in a very dense UniFi rack with frequent changes, it might feel a bit delicate compared to some thicker official tabs. Comes in basic black โ No color-coding out of the box (though 10Gtek offers colored variants like green/blue if you want to organize your UniFi uplinks better). In the years I've run various 10Gtek DACs (different lengths too), they've held up reliably in pure UniFi setups without a hitch. If you're building or expanding an all-Ubiquiti UniFi networkโwhether it's Switch Aggregation to Pro switches, Dream Machine Pro to core switches, or any SFP+ interconnectionsโand you want short, reliable, budget-friendly 10G links without the official price tag, this is a no-brainer. Highly recommended for UniFi homelabs, small offices, or anyone keeping their ecosystem 100% Ubiquiti while saving cash. I'll definitely grab more when I add another Pro switch or expand the rack.

Great SFP+ DAC cable
Works great! I have this going into a Ubiquiti 10g SFP+ switch on one end, and a Mellanox card on the other. Gets full speeds and recognized no problem. I bought a bunch of different lengths, all work great.
