Men's Hurricane XLT2 Sport Sandal

I have had these Tevas for 5 years! Used them for summer walks, pool time, water activities and they have held up through it all. Finally ordering a new pair because now the ball of the foot grip is beginning to wear down. They break in so well that they became my go to warm weather shoe. Highly recommend!

I've put them through serious tests this year, and they haven't just survived—they've excelled. ​Conquering the Trails of Maine ​My first major test was a week of rugged hiking in the mountains and forests of Maine. We faced everything from slick, moss-covered rocks and muddy creek crossings to uneven root systems. The traction on these is phenomenal; I never once felt unstable, even when traversing wet terrain. The quick-drying material meant that after every crossing, my feet were comfortable again within minutes, preventing the chafing and blisters that usually plague me with damp shoes. They handled miles of varied, tough terrain with the support and stability of a lightweight boot. ​The Mackinac Bridge Marathon ​The true test of long-distance comfort came when I wore these sandals to walk the full length of the Mackinac Bridge—nearly five miles of straight pavement. I purchased the Teva Men’s Hurricane XLT2 Sandals and decided to size down slightly from my usual 10.5 sneakers to a size 10—and it turned out to be a perfect fit. The sandals are lightweight yet supportive, with straps that hold the foot securely without causing discomfort, even on long days. The standout feature for me has been the excellent traction. They grip well and don’t slip easily, which gave me confidence even while hiking in Yosemite. For a sandal, that level of slip-resistance on rough terrain is impressive. Overall, the Hurricane XLT2 strikes a great balance between comfort, durability, and functionality. Whether for casual wear or outdoor adventures, it’s a reliable, versatile sandal that I’d highly recommend.

I returned this item, but only because I bought a different color/style from a local shoe store (Amazon ran out of the color I wanted, I purchased a different one because I was impatient, then found the one I wanted locally and returned the Amazon pair). I've used Chacos (Z Cloud style, without the toe strap) most of my adult life, so I wanted to try what I thought of as "the other big name sandal brand". I have only owned the Tevas for about 2-3 weeks so far, while my current pair of Chacos have lasted me 8 years and still counting (they are starting to develop damage). I think I would like to return in a year or so for a more comprehensive review. For now, my short term thoughts on the Tevas so far: - These Tevas are lighter than the Chacos - this probably means less fatigue, but to me it makes the Tevas feel not as "solid" as the Chacos. I guess the weight is reassuring to me. - I can't really just slip on the Teva and walk around without tightening the strap because the loose strap gets in the way of walking, and the Teva feels like it doing to fall off. With the Chaco, I don't necessarily have to tighten the strap and it won't bother me while walking around, and it's still fairly secure on my foot. This is because of the cross strap that the Chaco has rather than the strap on the side of the foot for the Teva. - I find the way to tighten the straps on Chacos to be ultimately easier and faster than the Tevas, but the Tevas are more obvious and simple. YMMV - The straps on the Tevas have more cushion, especially on the heel. My feet also feel equally secure in both brands when I tighten the straps down. - I worry that the velcro on the Tevas will wear out faster than the simple buckle on the Chaco, but that's my gut worry for now. - I get made fun of for my Chaco tan lines. Not sure Teva tans will be all that much better, but one can hope! Overall, I believe the Tevas will still see plenty of use - they are a good, solid pair of sandals that I hope will last me years. I so far prefer my Chacos, but I have room for more than one type of sandal. I hope to return within a year or so to update the review with my experiences at that point.

Comparing the this sandal (TEVA Men's Hurricane Xlt2 Sandals) with the Hurricane drift. This shoe is currently slightly more expensive between the two and understandably so. First of all, my son is a lifeguard and spends a lot of time in shallow water, his crocs banged up his feet with blisters on his first day of the summer, perhaps they are too tight. I ordered these two pairs of sandals to choose one to wear instead as they look like they have better support for the sole of the foot when standing all day and fit closer to the foot so there shouldn’t be so much movement or friction. Hurricane (not this shoe) This Sandal is the one on the left on the picture, it is made out of a rubber material similar to crocs but thicker. The strap across the ankle has a more flexible feel to the material than the rest of the shoe, for comfort and durability. You cannot adjust the fit of the straps so if the strap is too tight or too loose, it can’t be adjusted. He finds the shoe very comfortable. Both shoes have the same sole in terms of size, fit and even treads, but this shoe is made of rubber so is much lighter. Completely waterproof. Hurricane XIt2 (this shoe). This is the shoe being reviewed here and the one on the right and the one by itself. This shoe has a heavier duty rubber sole, making is a little heavier but still light. The straps are typical of Teva sandals, more like a stiff waterproof fabric feel and every strap adjusts with velco. This allows a custom fit but my son finds parts of the Velcro digs in unless you have the perfect lined up seal. This shoe also has a comfort padded strap at the heal. More cumbersome to get on with the Velcro long strap. Verdict For my son’s lifeguard needs or a water/beach shoe we would pick the Hurricane rubber shoe. For hiking or wading through a river I’d pick this shoe, Hurricane XIt2 has more of a hiking weight and feel to the sole and the adjustable straps are helpful for that use. For my son, the less expensive rubber shoe is the clear winner. More comfortable and less fussy and nothing to dry on it. I will also be putting this review on the other shoe reviews with a close up picture of that shoe. In terms of fit, it’s quite a wide fit and a typical size 9. Both soles are the same size and in each design other than material. Both great sandals, for slightly different needs although both would work in water. Hope this helps someone out.

I got these to walk on the beach since after walking about 30 minutes barefoot my heels start to feel raw, I tried them out today and they work beautifully! They feel very secure and well-made, I feel like I could go jogging in these just fine. You do have to adjust the straps just right or they'll rub on the top of your foot a little bit but I figured it out and it doesn't hurt now, I'm so glad I got these

Lo ammetto: non conoscevo questa marca prima di iniziare a cercare sandali su Amazon. Che dire: belli, comodi, perfetti per tutte le occasioni. Dal mare alla montagna si adattano perfettamente alle varie situazioni. Plantare ottimo, buono il grip.

Bellissimi, colorati e stracomodi. È la prima volta che utilizzo questo brand, da sempre ho usato birkenstock e Vibram. Sono leggerissimi e pratici, stanno bene su tutto. Saranno i miei compagni di passeggiata preferiti appena le temperature lo permetteranno. Sto già adocchiando un secondo modello.

¡Ay, Virgen Santísima, que me da algo cuando leo "Hurricane"! ¿Pero qué nombre es ese para unas sandalias? ¡Si parecen de película americana! Como yo siempre digo: de músico, poeta y loco, todos tenemos un poco, pero los americanos se pasan tres pueblos con los nombres. Mira, yo estas sandalias se las compré a mi Antoñito para cuando va de aventuras con Amelia y los niños. Porque claro, mi nuera la vegana no para de decir que hay que "conectar con la naturaleza" y "vivir experiencias auténticas"... ¡Pero bueno, si experiencias auténticas teníamos nosotros cuando íbamos a por setas al monte con mis alpargatas de toda la vida! Pero reconozco que estas Teva (que nombre más raro, ¿será de alguna tribu?) están requetebién hechas. Avelino dice que tienen más agarre que él cuando ve el fútbol en el sofá, ¡y eso ya es decir! Que ayer se las probó para ir al Mercadona y casi se queda pegado al suelo del parking. LO BUENO: Aguantan más que mi paciencia cuando Amelia me explica los beneficios del quinoa La correa del tobillo ajusta mejor que los consejos que no me piden Son más resistentes que mi matrimonio (¡35 años, hija, que no es poco!)
