FINDER Wood Chisel Set with Hammer End for Woodworking, Carving,6-Piece

I have bought a lot of chisels in my lifetime and paid a lot more than this for a good set. I have never bought a chisel that I did not have to sharpen after I bought them, so I was not surprised when I had to sharpen these as well. The great thing is that they sharpened up well and with no problems. Usually a cheap chisel has problems with being concave on the edge, these did not. I am surprised at how well they are made. The handles on these chisels are large enough to fit my hands which is unusual. These fit my hand well and feel like they belong there. I have not used them much yet, but according to how they sharpened and the way the metal felt during sharpening, I would make an educated guess these will stay sharp for a lot of work. I could not be happier at this point.Right after sharpening them, I tested them. They worked well on end grain, which is where chisels usually fail first. I was able to shave even the smallest amount from end grain on pine. I am sure they will do well on harder woods.Should I run into a problem with them staying sharp, I will upgrade this review within a few days. I have a lot of chisel work to do during the next week. Right now I would suggest you purchase these chisels. You could certainly buy worse chisels for more money than these, but hard to find a better set even for a lot more money. Enjoy your woodwork.

I would recommend this company's products. Great craftsmanship, handles well, and surgically sharp. Never saw a chisel as well made or as sharp. You can plain with them.

Very nice chisel set I was blown away when using them for the first time to build some furniture in my wood shop. I have sets I have paid four times more for and are no where near as good as these. Good steel, good handles. They are solid and their is no shake when even hitting them with a hammer! Will purchase two more sets. Trust me just buy these!

Worth the price.

They were very sharp and feel very comfortable in my hand. Blades are about 5 1/2” long with a 5” handle.

These are sharp and sturdy. It would spend at least 2.5 times to get the same sized set at a local hardware / home improvement store. So far I have only used the smallest chisel to do so some hand carving but it worked so well.

All chisels same length and same handle size which is great for my chisel rack. Points appear sharp and well formed. Chisel rack custom made for "Finder" chisels: 12 concentric holes for shafts and handles, beveled bottom strip to protect and safeguard chisel points. Chisels are of good quality and should last.

Fantastic chisel set. Used these to put in a new door. Took some learning on my part learning to work with chisels but cut through the wood well and were a good price. My only qualm is it needs a case of a stand. But I have a peg board holder I purchased for players and these fit in those.

I finally got a chance to use these chisels. The ones that I got were vey good not just good for the price. Just a trivial edge preparation on my diamond stone and strop and they were ready to use. The cutting edge holds up very well.

These are well made. They are THICK for mortises and not dovetails. I asked the question on Amazon and some people answered that they would work for dovetails but no, they are waaay to thick to get into the corners.
