Seems solid enough.
Had to replace a 20 year old valve in my backyard. It wasn’t too bad other than having to borrow a wrench to shut the water main at the sidewalk.I was hoping too but an American made valve, but hopefully this import will do the job for a while.

Despite the name, it's not American...
Although the name suggests that this item was made in the USA, this is actually not the case. Rather, the valve is made in China, as many other valves are. That being said, the valve works fine and doesn't leak. There are also no pungent odors coming from the item or the o-rings which is a good sign...

American Valve M78 1" Bent Nose Garden Valve is an excellent buy.
Just as I expected, the quality was the best. For the price this product is top rated for outdoor faucets.

Nice big valves for my Orchard
I ran 300' of 1 1/2' PVC pipe from my house out to the orchard buried 24" deep with risers coming out of the ground every 50ish feet about 4' tall. Using these big valves, I don't lose too much pressure and the angle is nice; just sawed off the 4 x 4 I had sunk into the ground as a support so that the handle is just above the top of the post. Nice to get these online; big box store only had a few and these seem to be the same ones I bought there but a bit cheaper.

Great valve for my application.
This valve performs as advertised. When you turn the valve on water flows. When you turn it off, it stops. The handle does not strip as on other models.
