Easy setup, good picture quality
Setup was easy, it decodes old DVD's and upscales them. It integrates well seamlessly with my LG smart TV and soundbar. The remote is a bit small though and the functionality is a bit cumbersome. But it can be worked around.

Has a repeat feature to play your dvd over and over w/o stopping.
Very hard to find a player that has a repeat play feature, this one does. You start the movie, press repeat, and walk away, it will play over and over if that is something you need. You must wait for the movie to start, if you do it while it is playing previews, or menu or whatever-it will just repeat that over and over and not play the movie. It's small too so doesn't take a lot of space or look overwhelmingly ugly.

Works Great But Sometimes will make loud Disc Noise
Had this for a few months and it works great om Blu Ray's and DVDs. Very nice picture. Lots of features, easy to set up and use. I don't have a smart TV or any of the extra equipment or internet/streaming stuff this device can connect to, so I can't comment on those functions. But I got it to have these options in the future. The only thing negative I can say about it is it occasionally makes a loud noise from the disc tray while it's playing that can last a long time. If you turn up the volume loud enough it masks the noise and you eventually forget it's there. Not sure why it makes the noise sometimes and sometimes doesnt.

Check around before you decide
There are only 2 problems I have with this, however they are not such as to take away a star rating. Hopefully the engineers will see this and address the problems. Problem #1 The remote has to be pointed directly at the player. I have other players which do not require the exact position of the remote. I can, and have pointed the other remotes in the air and the other players (I have 4) have responded. Problem #2 If you want to get to a scene fast, then this is not your player. The FF IS NOT FAST AT ALL, AND THAT IS BOTHERSOME. So that is my review.

Add me to the list of disappointed buyers
I went for a higher end model instead of the cheapest, because I was frustrated with the top-tier brand (which was much cheaper). This one has a faster CPU, but suffers other issues which are worse than the ones I left behind. When I drop a C-note on a Blu-Ray player, I want it to play Blu-Ray discs smoothly ands withnout interruption. Is that so much to ask? Evidently it is. It keeps dropping the WiFi. The access point is literally 11 feet from the access point, direct line of sight with no obstructions, and it is a good quality AP. No issues with any other devices staying connected. If I go into the network settings to reconnect it, I have to input the security key again which is onerous on a remote. If I just press the "Title/Popup" button on the remote to make the message go away, it will sometimes reconnect and stay working for a long time, and sometimes it will require doing this several times. I don't need internet to play a Blu-Ray disc, and leaving the Wi-Fi unconfigureds still pops up annoying prompts randomly. I would be perfectly happy if it had no networking AT ALL. I have another, superior device for streaming services. But there is no option to disable the networking in this unit. It's very picky about which MKV videos it will play, and there are no firmware updates to add more formats to its capability. Too late to return, or I totally would. Disappointed, LG products are usually better than this.

Good player with some really bad UI issues
I got this player along with a small 720p TV to play primarily TV shows on a portable hard drive in our bedroom (replacing an old TV/VCR combo). This function works quite well. However, heaven forbid there should be any glitch in your network, or an undismissable dialog box pops up over the playing video telling you to check your network connection. If I respond to this prompt and reenter my settings, it then puts the Home menu on top of the video and requires me to select a new track to play even though one is already playing below it. This is really irritating. Add on to that that it's impossible to remove the network settings without doing a full initialize (which makes you setup everything again. This BD player also does not have any way to set "night mode" - every time it flips between files, the player flashes a pure white screen, where it would be nice to have it be black between files. The player itself works well and delivers a good picture overall, and it meets our needs. The SIMPLINK feature shared between the BD player and the TV is also very nice - it's convenient to control both devices with one remote, though having a Sleep timer on the BD remote would make it even more useful.

If you keep abreast with my reviews, you might have seen the review I recently did for a new TV wall bracket and, consquently, a new TV after my old wall bracket parted ways with the wall and brought my old JVC TV/DVD combi crashing to the floor. Rather than see it as the audio-visual disaster that it evidently was, I instead looked upon it as an opportunity to replace the now-slightly-knackered combi unit and decided almost immediately that I'd get a standalone TV and Blu-Ray player because I have little doubt that 99% of the TV/DVD combi units on sale are cheap and nasty. Lady serendipity intervened and it come to my attention that Amazon were holding a 'Prime Day' event a mere two or three weeks later, so I bided my time and waited with anticipation in the hopes that I'd be able to grab myself some bargains. When it came to the day, I ultimately ended up with a swanky new Panasonic 'Smart' TV and decided to go for one of these wee LG Blu-Ray players as it looked very compact and was well-reviewed here on Amazon. Both of my new gadgets (as well as a few other things) arrived the very next day thanks to Prime, so I only just resisted making a 'squee' noise in delight at the prospect of playing with my shiny new toys. >>>WHAT'S IN THE BOX? In the box for this player, you'll find the gadget itself, its power lead, remote control and a set of instructions. It doesn't come with an HDMI cable, so if you've not got one of them I'd highly recommend going for one of the Amazon 'Basics' ones as I did. >>>IT'S DINKY! When I removed this Blu-Ray from it's box I knew that it was going to be compact, but I couldn't help but marvel at the diminutive size of it. At only 27 by 19.5 by 4.3 centimetres, this thing really is tiny and as a result would be absolutely perfect to sit on top of the wardrobe just behind my wall-mounted TV. >>>A PROPER DRAWER One thing that always irked me about the combi unit that I had was that it had one of those annoying slot-loading DVD mechanisms, which never worked all that well. I was therefore glad to see that this player had a 'proper' DVD tray - and that it works absolutely perfectly. >>>SETTING IT UP This player is a breeze to set up - it's really just a case of connecting it to a TV via HDMI, turning it on, popping a disc into it and Bob's your uncle. You can tinker with the settings if you wish, but there's nothing that needs changed in order to get up and running. >>>FEATURES GALORE This petite thing is actually more feature-packed than its dimensions suggest; it has a USB port on its front that you can plug USB storage devices into and access the video, audio and picture files on them. I've not really tried this yet (and probably won't to be honest as I've got a NAS in my house) but it should support most of the most popular file formats. >>>SOUND AND VISION As you might expect from any new Blu-Ray player, the audio and picture quality is sublime when playing Blu-Rays. This little thing can also upscale DVD discs so they look sharper than normal, too - which is a great added bonus, >>>SHOULD I BUY ONE? Well, if you need a new player and are short on space, this should tick just about every box on your list. It obviously doesn't offer some of the features offered by more expensive players (4K, 3D, networking, etc.) but as a basic Blu-Ray player it's absolutely brilliant and I have no doubt in recommending it to all and sundry.

Non scrivo molte recensioni, ma questo prodotto della LG merita davvero. Ho da poco comprato un masterizzatore blu ray e dischi Mediarange 25gb HTL per metterci dentro i miei film "copie di backup" ... A buon intenditore.. Tornand a noi. Beh legge tutto super correttamente e velocemente. Ha 1 hdmi e spinotto per la corrente. Punto. Due pulsanti fisici ON/OFF e un per espellere il disco. Punto.
