Messy but does its job
My straw bale was delivered ripped open at the end but it still held together. The straw pieces are really packed in together but once you start pulling some tufts out, it falls apart fast. I only needed about a third to put in my feral cat shelter, so I can get multiple uses from the bale whenever I need to clean it out.
