Beautiful cabinet. After laying out all the parts in groups, assembly is fairly easy. The holes and screws all lined up nice. Wheels are good quality, large sized. The box when it arrives, is heavy. I opened it up to carry the pieces, it could still be heavy for two people, but it’s solid. Directions are easy to follow. I had the fantastic idea to hide my trash and recycling cans inside. Microwave/ toaster oven ontop, Paper plates, napkins silverware and inside cabinet trash/recycling cans, it’s one stop. Very nice set up. The towel racks are metal, with a shelf for salt and pepper. We did not use the paper towel holder since that end of the cabinet is against another cabinet. The only downside to me is the light color. I would prefer having a choice of colors without having to attempt to change the color myself. If you use this item as an island, there is an area enough to add small barstools. Our cabinet is against the wall, which leaves about a 6” gap that I have decided to keep my wooden trays in there. Four folding tables fit behind the cabinet very easily. So there’s a little added bonus of storage. I suppose you could say.

This was a sheer joy to put together. Everything about it was well organized. The instructions were highly articulate and diagrams were precise – best I’ve ever seen. There was a faint check mark next to each piece of wood and hardware, so you knew someone had taken the time to ensure it was there. Each piece was labeled with a sticker that wasn’t terrible to remove. Each hardware packet was individually wrapped, labeled, well-sealed, and in one case contained the tool needed to use the hardware. The shipping box itself was packed like a puzzle box. The box did arrive damaged, but the pieces were so well-protected and compactly placed inside, there was no damage to the cart. The wood is solid. The only issue was there are a lot of pieces. The drawers are the hardest part to put together because the angles are a little weird (this is normal) due to the way they fit together. I do recommend a drill to screw in the hardware, especially for that step but really for all of them. Two people were ideal to put this together, as you have to flip it over to get the wheels on. The first two pieces are hard to get together without two people as well. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to do alone, just a lot easier with two. I hadn’t realized the knife box came already put together and hadn’t planned to put the top on it. It’s very well put together and looks quite nice; I just don’t like using knife boxes in general. That top is not coming off without some serious work, so it now holds kitchen tongs in the larger box and the handles of my different sizes of sifters. These aren’t the usual very narrow knife slits. This is good, as those are often unsanitary, but if you do choose to use for knives, they will definitely flop around. The only thing that held me back from purchasing this item sooner was a lack of review photos showing what the cabinets can hold. The side cabinets are a little narrow but deep. The shelves are adjustable but the width is the limiting factor. I’ve included some photos, but it’s hard to see the full view, so here is a description also: - Top left cabinet: Bundt pan (vertical, in back, barely visible) and Kitchenaid 5 qt mixing bowl with multiple attachments inside, making it about four inches taller than the bowl. - Bottom left cabinet: Blender base in the back with two plastic Kitchenaid pouring shields. Front holds blender top, 3x5 mini bread pans, and mini pie pans. - Center top: Instant Pot *MINI*, 3 quart version, plus base and top of food processor (at least 10 cup size and possibly bigger). - Center bottom: 6 quart locking lid crockpot, mini crock pot, mini cast iron skillets. - Note: If the crockpot lid didn’t lock, the lid could be flipped over for storage. I believe that would mean I could lower the shelf and possibly fit the larger (6 quart) Instant Pot on top. I may try some alternatives. However, the crockpot and mini instant pot definitely do not fit on the same shelf. The mini instant pot does *not* fit in the sides. - Right top: Another 5 qt (empty, normal height) Kitchenaid 5 qt mixing bowl. Stick blender, detached into two pieces and each in a container. - Right bottom cabinet: In back, two 8x4 vertical bread pans. Front right, 9x5 bread pan holds two cake doughnut pans, a six muffin tin, and three round cake pans (6, 9, & 11 inches). Front left, battered, cheap, old 9x13 pan holds two 8x8 square pans. Newer 9x13 pans tend to be larger and have handles. I do not believe a 9x13 pan made of thicker material or with handles will fit.

My husband and I just purchased a house - a house that we love dearly with one exception - the kitchen. Its a large room but with very little counter space and storage. We decided to buy this kitchen cart to rectify that. Assembly: This was very easy to put together - with many of the "harder" components like hinges already attached. Working together on a Saturday morning my husband and I put this together in about two hours. No bad I'd say. One drawer face was slightly misaligned, and would hit the counter top but we were able to adjust it ourselves using his drill. The other drawer worked perfectly from the get go. I also thought the cabinet hinges were brilliant. Storage: I use this to hold mostly appliances and have a pot rack hanging over it. It provides enough storage to fit our large food processor, are panini press, crock pot, rice cooker, waffle maker, Ninja Blender, two fondu pots, and immersion blender. Obviously my husband and I love food and the appliances that go with it. With all those appliances in the cabinet, there's still quite a bit room left - in fact the whole right side cabinet. I love that it is divided into three separate storage areas with independent shelves that can be adjusted. Finish: its been a couple week since we set this up, and honestly it's already had a hard life. We've yet to use it for cooking purposes but rather for dropping boxes on it as we unpack. The finish has held up wonderfully. I don't see there being a problem in the future with it. Accessories: The towel rack and the Knife block... The towel rack is eh, we hardly remember to keep a towel on it, though I'm betting that it would make a decent rolling pin in a pinch. Its not annoying so we left it on and aren't really concerned about it. The knife block however, is odd. Almost all of the bolts on the outside of the unit are counter sunk with plugs except for the ones on the knife block. We put the knife block on as directed and I really appreciated the slide out bottom for cleaning purposes - but when I tried to put some spatulas and such in the designated spot they just fell right in. They were too short I guess, but they just all slid right in. The knifes fit, but since we prefer to have our knives on a magnetic strip we were kind of "eh" about using it. So here's the brilliance.... I was looking for a place to store cutting boards and was bemoaning the knife blocks apparent uselessness... and then I had a light-bulb moment. If you take the knife block and install it upside down and remove the "bottom" slide out piece it works perfectly as a cutting board holder! The slots in the bottom allow air flow so even if a cutting board isn't completely dry when put it in it will be fine. It fits even our biggest cutting boards and it just works beautifully and is wonderfully convenient. I highly suggest flipping it over and getting a Chicago Cutlery 1063947 Magnetic Knife Storage Strip . Love this kitchen cart - its a really good value and an excellent piece. We've already decided that if we redo the kitchen at any point in the near future this will become our "bar" in the dining room or we'll use it as a bar outside. Its versatile and well built.

We recently moved to a new home with a huge kitchen. My wife had talked about getting a wheeled isand, both for extra storage and to give the kitchen a more finished look. So--dutiful hubby that I am I did some shopping around. There seemed to be two extremes; about a million of those cheap pressed-board third-world imports and a few really quality (read "high-priced") units, with finished (real) wood and a solid build. Not many "tweeners". But after shopping both at Amazon and some local outlets, I was able to find this. Was it worth it? Read on.... THE GOOD: The unit promptly on the day scheduled. It was well-packaged in a flat pack, taking two guys to wheel it off the truck and into my garage. Having learned over the years that trying to hurry through an assembly is a sure road to frustration, I took my time, unpacking and checking each item against the content list. All present and accounted for. I got to work. The instructions were in pamphlet form, well-written and easy to follow, though with a couple of odd admonitions such as "make sure product arrows point at each other" (huh?) and a couple of missed steps such as how to install the bolt locks that hold the top to the cabinet carcass, and how to put in the wood plugs for a more finished look. Nothing I couldn't figure out on my own. But it was a S-L-O-W process. Other reviews had the assembly time at about three hours. I took more like eight. The unit was solid wood, and came pre-finished, and not just on the sides that are exposed to sight. Things like drawer bottoms, the underside of shelves, etc. are also finished, though a bit more roughly than the outside surfaces. And it's a good finish; a semi-gloss natural wood finish (urethane, most likely) that looks professionally applied and free of defects. The build is solid. Once together everything pretty much lined up as it should have. Storage doors and drawers opened and closed with no wobble or play. Casters have rubber tires and are of a good, solid quality. The finished unit, thought heavy, rolls easily. Brakes on two of the casters can be set so that the unit doesn't roll or move during use. The picture of the unit in the Amazon listing is attractive. The finished, assembled unit is much more attractive. The picture just doesn't do it justice. In fairness, it looks better than the quality of some of the assembly would warrant (see below). THE BAD Though it unit is solid wood and attractively finished, some cut corners are obvious. Door corners appear to be tongue-in-groove joinery, but in reality they are just butt joints glued together. Door panels mount into grooves cut in the rails but in a couple of instances they don't line up correctly: this was not noticeable from the front but a couple of the doors had pretty significant gaps between the panels and a couple of the rails. Drawer joints were simple butt joints screwed together, each with two wood screws per corner. Not a particularly reliable or long-term type of joint. Also the plywood drawer bottoms were not floating: the instructions called for them to be attached with screws, six to a bottom. Without room to expand or contract there could be cracking or warping of the bottoms later on. The counter top and leaf were made of hardwood boards of varying widths in a sort of butcher-block style. Not unattractive but several of the boards were finger-jointed together, giving an odd appearance when (as was the case with several times) the joined boards were significantly different in color and grain. It looked almost to be a lumber-saving technique. Additionally no attempt was made to match up the grain on the boards where the edges were joined, giving it an almost jigsaw-like appearance. Some of the hardware, particularly the screws, are of very cheap metal. Be careful screwing them down or you will strip the heads. I found that drilling the screw holes a bit larger than how they came was a good idea. On the bright side the manufacturer included one extra of just about every piece of hardware, so if you lose or ruin something you're covered, at least the one time. There are only three shelves (one per section) even though there are a lot of pre-drilled holes for shelves and a lot of extra room for more shelves. Adding three more shelves would have been a nice, and welcome, touch. THE UGLY. The first part of the assembly is, to put it mildly, a clumsy exercise. You need about six hands to hold everything in place. Things snap together pretty well but making sure that things don't drop or fall over is something you need to be aware of at all times. Some of the holes, especially for some of the locking cams, are in impossibly tight spots. A bit better design would have eliminated most of the skinned knuckles, dropped screwdrivers, and cusswords. BOTTOM LINE A bit of lily-gilding on the part of whoever wrote the product description, but overall it is a quality item. Certainly not perfect, nor would anyone ever mistake the workmanship for fine cabinetry, but it is solid, attractive, and serviceable. With proper care and little or no abuse, it should last for years.

The quality surprised me It's really made of wood. It's strong, hard and straight. Nothing cheap about it; The pieces were marked exceptionally and as long as you follow the instructions it can't help but be perfect. I made one mistake along the way while assembling one of the drawers; The first one went together correctly while i followed the instructions, then on the second one I tried to wing it. I got the left and right sides backwards and it threw it all off. On inspection it was easy to see the labeled pieces weren't in the right place. A night's sleep and ten minutes in the morning, backing out the screws that secured the drawer bottom and flipping the sides, and it was ready to go. Seriously, follow the instructions and you won't go wrong. The fold out extension on the back side wasn't shown in any of the sales pictures on Amazon and it came as a surprise. We have the microwave and the hot air fryer on the top, and the extension allows them to be pushed back toward the wall leaving ten or so inches work space in front of each device. We picked up some hot pads and leave two on top. Decorative and functional. Utensils, extra hot pads and gloves go in one drawer, while cookbooks, paperwork for the devices and other stuff in the other. We don't use the knife rack for knives, so it's a good place for tongs. Fits right in. Perfect height. Love the color and a bit proud to have put it together. Worth every penny.

This is one GREAT little kitchen cart! First, the packing... I've never seen such a carefully wrapped and protected set of pieces! Each was carefully and neatly stacked with foam wrap around it and a layer of Styrofoam surrounded all. Usually you get a single bag of mixed screws and other hardware but not here! Each set of screws was bagged separately and clearly marked as to what it was! Second, the quality... I have to admit I wasn't sure what level of hardwood I was going to receive but, wow, I was stunned at how nice the fit and finish was. This is REAL wood and it went together like a dream! The instructions were clear, the assembly was straightforward, I had no trouble doing it alone in about 30 minutes while taking my time. It looks amazing in the kitchen and the extra storage will be great! Will easily fit my crockpot and food processor below and the drawer will be a perfect place to store placemats and napkins. The top will be nice for the extra space you can never find on your counter when cooking or entertaining. It's the perfect size to act as a mini island in our kitchen but could easily be wheeled out of the way, if needed. If you're looking for a really well made small kitchen cart with storage, I cannot recommend this one enough! It's AWESOME! :)

This is a well-made, quality kitchen island that was actually fun to assemble. A lot of the fussy assembly was already done; hinges, strike plates and drawer guides were in place. There were only 6 cam screws and cam locks to put in. (I also just put together a kitchen pantry made by another company, and the first step was to put in 60 (literally!) cam screws. Where cam screws were needed, there were plastic receivers with screw threads to put them into, so there was no problem getting them in straight (which can be a real challenge with just holes drilled in particle board in many kits). This was the most consumer-friendly piece of furniture I have ever assembled, and I've done lots over the years. I am 72, and my grandson and I had this put together in about an hour and a half. It looks great, and will provide much-needed storage and countertop space in my small kitchen. This does not have the typical oak kitchen cabinet look that is common in the U.S., and which the picture looked like it would be. It is definitely lighter. It was perfect for me, but something to note. Much of it is hardwood, but not oak. Assembly tip: In the early stages of assembly, you attach one side and middle dividers to the bottom, then slide three pieces that make up the back into grooves and attach rails to the front and back. Next, you are to attach the remaining side piece while the unit is standing upright. Do not make the mistake I did and try to shift the unit onto the side you first attached in order to attach the second side. It didn't yet have enough structural integrity and pretty much came apart. It wasn't a disaster; just had to go back a couple of steps. Keep the unit standing upright until you've attached the second side (even though tightening the bolts close to the floor is a nuisance). You'll be better off. Enjoy!

Goes great in my kitchen. I’ve hated my golden oak cabinets for years but now with this to tie it together it’s less obtrusive. The island itself adds great storage and anchors my kitchen. The silly spice rack on the side is pointless for me and I wish the hanging edge went out a bit further. I put it together by myself in a few hours. No tools needed but what they sent. Overall decent piece for price point.

Fedex is very good transporter. Delivered the goods exactly on time. The product is hard wood one, very solid. Assembly is very easy as the instruction is very clear and all the connection dimensions are accurate.

Delivered a couple days early. Put it together with just a philips screwdriver( i think a power driver would be counterproductive with this.) and the allen wrench which was supplied, in about 3 hours working quite leisurely. Very clear assembly instructions, the parts all clearly labeled, came together without any problems. Nice touch was an extra 1 or 2 hardware pieces in each bag. Didn't need them but better to have an extra than one short. All solid wood , except the shelves and drawer bottoms and back panels, which is normal. Well finished wood and nice tone and grain also. The drawers and shelf doors are very nice construction and work smoothly. All in all i'm finding it quite a good addition to the kitchen, well made, it's going to save me a lot of steps and make cooking more pleasurable.

Really easy to put together. Took about 45 minutes to assemble. Tons of space. Use it for 4 pots, 4 pans, all of my bakeware, a blender etc. Easy to wipe down. Where are smooth and can move in and out of the spot to clean without scratching the floor. Great looking piece.

This is an excellent island. The assembly may be a little daunting, but it is all worth it for the finished product. Mine contains all my baking supplies and functions as a baking centre. I love it!
