Would this be the best for the side of my wooden front door

I've used it at the side of mine, and it works very well. Position it where it will best seal the gap when the door is closed up.

What size for a 2cm gap under door?

2cm too much for this tape. Look for a longer brush type.

Will this stop cigarette smoke entering my property through the front door?

Purchased to seal two off bifold doors More than met my expectations

Is it suitable around sink and cooker

I would have to say no,if it got wet it most likely start to come loose and the heat from a cooker would cause it to peal off. Hope it helps.
