AMAZINGLY EFFECTIVE almost immediately !
Amazing stuff ! Immediate action, dead fleas start falling out of our cat's dense coat in 30 minutes or less. Seems to take up to maybe 4 hours to completely kill ALL the fleas ! This tablet makes every other fleas remedy a joke. It doesn't stick around for long, or work for long though. It just kills fleas right away, then it's eliminated from the cat's system within hours. VERY VERY EFFECTIVE !!! It seems crazy that it can be used every couple of days, or on mother cats feeding kittens. Evidently it works by interference with an enzyme involved in making fleas shell exoskeleton bodies. Mamals don't have or use that enzyme I guess, so there's no effect on the cat ! But it kills fleas really quickly ! It's gratifying to see them falling out of his fur... Be aware that the fleas might be trying for a last meal or jumping around as they die. Something makes our cat a *litt bit* crazy going after fleas for an hour or so after taking Capstar. Nothing major, but you might notice it. It doesn't last long at all because all the fleas DIE quickly ! No fuss, no muss, just a comfortable cat in 2 hours or less in my experience ! It's PAINFULLY EXPENSIVE, but it works extremely well, and it's a lot less time, mess, and chemicals than an effective flea bath.

I have been rescuing strays left and right and this has been such a life saver! It leaves a little residue look but then onceโs its dry that greasiness look is gone! I had a kitten i rescued with fleas coming out of her nose and every area after a dawn bath and this the next day she was flea less!!! Great product for me and my rescues!

Yes Kills fleas fast. Doesnโt kill larvae and eggs.
Works well to kill fleas fast, butโฆ The Capstar starts working within 30mins, and kills all biting adults within 6hrs and leaves the cats system after 24hrs. It does not target the larvae and eggs, and the cycle will continue. You will need a longer lasting topical along side the capstar to โtargetโ the larvae and eggs. I got frontline plus as my part 2, it doesnโt kill larvae and eggs either, it just stunts their development to maturation they will naturally die off of starvation within 1-2weeks. The cocooned pupae can still be protected and dormant for 6-12 months if undisturbed. It does what it says - but NEEDS part 2 + Steam cleaning and daily vacuuming.

Absolutely the best value for the price.
Havenโt seen anything but dead fleas and four dead ticks in the floor. Works great within a very short time and keeps them off the cats. A whole lot cheaper than other brands and works just as well! They are all stretched out sleeping without any jumping up to scratch.

Capstar
This thing works! Thats all I gotta say. It kills fleas, but u still have to be proactive in flea prevention at your house. It's not going to thoroughly solve the issue, but it definitely helps with huge flea infestations.

URGENT: MONITOR YOUR CAT(S) AFTER GIVING THIS TO THEM!!
I have 5 cats: the 3 oldest are 12, one is 10 and the youngest (Maisie) is 5. They are all indoor cats that I've had since they were kittens, they don't go outside and they're all healthy with no known medical issues. They've been treated with Advantage or Revolution (the liquid on the back of the neck) before but I've never given them flea treatment in a pill form. A good friend of mine recommended Capstar, saying she's given it to her 2 cats for years with no problems and it works great. I dosed all the cats at 10:45 AM on Saturday, April 18 and then just kept an eye on them as I was puttering around doing housework and paying bills. At 2:10 PM, totally out of the blue, Maisie had a Grand Mal seizure! She was sleeping on the cat tree, per usual, and suddenly let out a screech, started flopping around and before I could get to her she fell out of the cat tree to the carpet. There she continued to convulse and shake, froth at the mouth and her pupils were completely dilated. I finally got a blanket around her and then held her in my arms (loosely but enough to make her feel secure) just as her bladder let loose and she peed on me. The seizure lasted about a minute and afterward she was sluggish and confused but otherwise okay. Pupils went back to normal a minute later and then I offered her a treat which she gobbled down. She slept the rest of the afternoon with me keeping a close eye on her. I called the emergency vet and they said since she's acting normal for now to just continue to monitor her but let them know if it happens again. Scared the absolute crap out of me, that's for sure!! I thought omg, omg, I just killed my cat!! I've had cats my entire life and I've never had any of them react to flea meds like this. Long story short, 4 more days went by (I kept an eye on the cats with home cameras while I was at work) and nothing, so I thought the danger was past. Then on Wednesday, April 22 Maisie had another seizure at 7:10 AM, again out of the blue - she'd just had breakfast. The emergency vet said it could take "up to a week" for the meds to leave her system completely. As of today, Sunday April 26, there hasn't been a repeat performance and I'm hoping and praying there never will be again. Maisie seems to be fine with no damage done but only time will tell. I'm not saying anything against Captar - it's been around a long time and plenty of pet owners swear by it (for that matter, my other 4 cats are perfectly fine, no reaction whatsoever) but PLEASE WATCH YOUR PETS CLOSELY AFTER GIVING THEM THIS - OR ANY - MEDICINE!!

Fast acting Capstar, fleas gone in minutes
Love how fast it works, fleas are gone in about 30 minutes. The six doses are easy to use and the box fits my 2-25 lb cat without drama. Safe for cats and kittens 4 weeks and older, which is a win. Great for stopping re-infestations too. Only tiny nitpick is the packaging could be a bit easier to split sometimes.
