A great kit, 8 months and still going strong!
I purposely waited to write this review until I had some time on the battery, as some of these after-market watch batteries can be low quality and fail quickly. That is NOT the case here! This is an excellent bit of kit. Battery was installed in the Gear S3 watch in November 2019. It is now mid-June 2020, and it is still going strong. Even after eight months, I still see 75-80% battery life left after a full day of use (including an hour every night of S-Health use). The stock battery it replaced, which was several years old and puffy, wouldn't even make it 8 hours before it was dead. Changing the battery is not very difficult, although it is a bit fiddly and will cause you to ponder how they are able to mass produce these watches. The tools it comes with are surprisingly good quality: the screwdrivers have well machined aluminum handles, and it includes a good spudger that has come in handy several times on other projects. The instructions are quite good, with just a few areas that are just a touch confusing (but easy to figure out once you're in there), and clear warnings on areas to be careful. If your watch battery is not holding a charge anymore, I highly recommend this kit. The quality is excellent for the price, and the battery has held up very well.

Great Improvement to My Gear S3 Classic
I have the S3 Classic and was anxiously awaiting an announcement of a Galaxy Watch 2 ( I skipped buying the Galaxy Watch ). My battery on my S3 wasn't making it through the mid-afternoon. When the rumored release of a successor to the Galaxy Watch didn't happen in August, I decided to look at the possibility of replacing the S3 battery. I'm pretty handy but the couple of videos that I saw made it seem as if there were a lot of possibilities for breaking the watch to accomplish this. With my S3 only lasting for a few hours, I decided to try to battery replacement. It arrived the day after I ordered it and came with all necessary tools. The instructions were not bad but it was really helpful to look at a couple of you-tube videos. Prying the case open and then pulling the motherboard away from the chassis were both somewhat difficult as in each case I was pretty sure that I was going to crack something or rip a ribbon cable (note that when you pull the motherboard out it is connected by both the battery cable and another thin and delicate ribbon cable). Although some of the disassembly took a fair amount of force, if you work carefully, they both come free (you also have to be careful when pulling the old battery away from the adhesive that keeps it attached to the watch). Bottom line: After about 45 minutes I had pulled everything apart got the the new battery installed, and the watch booted up and is now working great. After about 15 hours of "always on" use I'm at 55% battery life. The watch is like new again. Assuming that the battery has a good long life, this was a great $21.00 investment for the battery and tools, and actually a fun project. One last bit of advice: When you pull the old battery away from the adhesive pay attention to where the battery ribbon connection connects to the watch. If you're not sure watch you-tube video.

Battery Works But The Install Wasn't Fun
My Samsung Gear 3 Symptoms: It would seem to charge to 100 Percent, but would not tun on. Watch was two years old, so I was hoping it was the battery. It was. The install was a little frustration because I had issues getting the back cover off. The 1.5mm Y screwdriver that comes with the kit didn't do a great job of loosening the screws. Fortunately, I had a second bit kit that had the same size. I was then able to unscrew the back easily, so I am not sure if anyone elase will have the same issue. Once you get the back off, there are a couple of tiny Phillips screws and three ribbon cables that need to come off. You then need to carefully pry the thin cover of the internal casing off to expose the battery and the fourth ribbon cable. You should be able to do this if you take your time. It's not overly complicated but requires a steady hand to get the tiny ribbon cables reconnected. I am happy to report the watch is working perfectly now. Good luck with your repair!

Great battery so far!
Well, out of the box, this battery is the best one I have gotten yet. Holds a charge for over 48 hours. I am very pleased.

Restored my watch
My Samsung Gear S3 Classic was dying quickly. It had already been going down hill, because it was only lasting 8 hours, instead of the 14+ hours that it had, when I bought it. Suddenly, within 3 days, it went from lasting barely 8 hours, to only lasting 2 hours. That's when I ordered this kit. If you're handy, this install goes fairly well. The issues I had, were outside of these tools. The back would not pry off, even though the tool was lifting it. It had become 'stuck' to the watch, and took a will to finally get it to release. Once it was off, the install was fairly easy (watching YouTube videos, to help). Keep in mind, these ribbon cables are small, so while the tools are small and work well, you'll need to be able to see/work with small connections. Once back together, my watch was once again showing over 14 hours of life! It's been a couple weeks now, and still going strong. My boss ended up getting the same kit, because his watch had died, last month. His watch back did not stick, like mine, but he had issues with his screws not releasing. His had some sort of lock-tight on the screws, which made his removal difficult in a different way. Again, not the fault of this kit. The screw driver worked fine, but the screws wouldn't budge. Eventually he was able to work them loose, tapping with a hammer (I would NOT recommend). His watch came back to life, and he can once again go a day without it dying.

Correct tools
This review will be updated if and when there is some data on the new battery regarding longevity and capacity. It arrived at 62,% charge and after being installed in my R760 and 3 hours on the oem charger ,read 100%. The installation was relatively easy because the tools packed with the batter were of decent quality and were absolutely correct for the case "y" head screws and the motherboard Phillips screws. The plastic spudger and guitar picks were generic and worked. The metal opening tool was too thick and I opened the case using ,initially , a very thin knife blade. A review of youtube installation videos and the package insert instructions made the battery replacement manageable. So far the battery is performing well and it looks like I'll get a least 2 days use without recharge. This is with having fairly continuous drain with always on background wifi and Bluetooth but screen ( mostly) off. The oem battery lasted 4 years with nightly full charging. This time I'll try the charge to 80% discharge to 20% protocol. ( note: my old battery was swollen) Watch works like new and despite an hour without power ( despite bad battery , I kept the watch on the charger - continous green lite) all the settings ,wifi password, etc. were preserved. If I get more than a year on this new battery, I'm happy and will not downgrade the 5 star rating. Update: Got 4 days i.e. 96 hours down to 9% when I recharged. 3+ hours and green light and 100%.

Not Easy
I thought this replacement was going to be simple, but it WAS NOT. I thought that I broke the watch, but it ended up working. The small screwdriver stripped the screws connected to the battery also, which made it extremely difficult to remove. I probably won't be able to replace it again. But it is working great now that it's replaced.

Wow! Fantastic Battery!
I was reluctant to purchase a battery for my Samsung Galaxy Gear 3 classic. This watch was a refurbished watch from Amazon, and I was highly disappointed in the battery life after six months of usage. By the time I got to Christmas of 2021, my battery barely lasted 5 hours. In January, it would randomly shut off and not boot on a 80% charge. I grew frustrated and nearly gave up until my father-in-law suggested I purchase a new battery from Amazon. I did just that and I would suggest to not listen to the negative reviews on this battery. The instructions were easy to follow and I replaced my original battery in a matter of 20 minutes. The included screwdrivers and tools made getting the case open and removing the batter easy. Remember to be careful as the wires are very thin and you don’t want to break them. But if you go slow and easy, you’ll do just fine. I’ve had this battery in since May 7th and I couldn’t be more pleased. I pull the watch off in the morning and when I go to recharge the battery in the evening I often have 70% battery left after a full day’s use. Heavy usage the batter will drain to 55% by evening. Not bad for a replacement. I can easily get nearly 2 full days on one charge. Highly recommend.

My Watch charges great now!
The battery came with all the tools needed to install it and take hurt the watch. They mistakenly put instructions for replacing the battery for an Apple Watch 4 in the box. Nevertheless I just googled YouTube for instructions on replacing the battery and a couple of great videos came up to guide me. You have to be very careful with four small ribbon connectors but just go slowly. It's like having a new watch again now. I'm sure the battery would last for almost 4 days if I ran it down to nothing! It works so well It's very impressive... Maybe better than the original battery in the watch. Highly recommended, but you have to be very careful in the installation that's not super simple!

Battery is great. Missing opening tool.
The battery is great and is performing well. The package was missing the opening tool so made the opening of the watch quite hard as I had to pry it with a small screw driver. Everything else was fine, instructions easy to follow, although I complemented them with a youtube video just in case.

Better than expected
Had my S3 for some years now, Battery barely lasting 2 day. Replacement was easy and all the tools were perfect. S3 has 4 days worth of battery now. Back to first day I got it.
