They work perfect, nice soft light, warm, no flickering. Nice color and just the right size. Better price than the store and quality.

it is challenging to find safe lighting these days. incandescent has been proven to be non-toxic to the body and the environment and with the push for led lighting , finding it non-existent and difficult to buy in stores,it is a relief to find these lightbulbs on amazon. researching the effects of led lighting has been the incentive to have only this lighting in my home...

The packaging for these bulbs is very poor--thin paper "box" and nothing protecting or firmly holding the bulbs, and then Amazon shipped them with no protection at all, so the bulbs arrived shattered--just a bunch of dangerous glass shards. Ugh. It was very difficult to get a replacement because of the automated/AI system & communication issues, but when I did get the replacement, the bulbs are good & what I need. I'd order more of them if I could count on decent shipping packaging from Amazon--or if the manufacturer's packaging were robust. As it is, I'm still not sure if I'm going to be charged for the replacement--my Returns page shows Amazon expects me to return this (the pile of glass shards!? that I no longer have because it's now in the landfill...) to avoid a charge, but customer support says ignore that...

Delivered and received as expected. Have just installed some of them. Hopefully will have decent lifespan and will be worth the money. Understandably not as bright white as LED’s.

exactly what I wanted (a non LED bulb) but not bright enough for a living room. I’m going to order a higher wattage.

The photos in the description on Amazon show a bulb with a silver reflective base, but what I received was a bulb with a white painted base. The top part of the bulb was also more white and coated and does not allow for much light to come through. I was trying to find a comparable replacement for a Philips DuraMax 45w 385 lumens indoor spot light bulb, which cannot be found anymore unless you do a lot of scrounging around, or pay an arm and a leg for the bulbs second hand. This SYLVANIA Incandescent Flood Light Bulb didn't come close. Also, be aware that the lumens, which is the brightness of the light emitted, are all different numbers depending on where you look. The photo on the description says 295 lumens, in the written description under "About This Item" it says 230 lumens, on the front of the box I received it says 230 lumens, on the side of the box it says 180 lumens. I can honestly say that when I tried the bulb out in our spot light it was more like the 180 lumens....very dim and more like a night light. I guess the search continues...... Photos included with this review show the SYLVANIA bulb on the left and the PHILIPS Duramax on the right. Two very different bulbs. Also included photos of the lumens on the box I received.

So glad I can still purchase these in California where everything has an issue with the governor and Sacramento legislature. I still need these in my bathroom ceiling lights. LED lights just don't work and often require new switches - and they don't have the lifespan the manufacturers brag about.

Works fine, except one bulb that was broken due to no padding in the outer shipping box.

That’s exactly what I needed. I hate the LED’s. They say the led will last tens of thousands of hours but their drive’s will NOT. The “savings” are NOT there , specially when you have to replace them (led’s) more often than the regular bulbs. I had a very bad experience with the LED’s. Beside , they (LED’s) are not working pretty well outside in a -20 to -30C, for a long time.

A versatile light bulb that fits a ceiling fan in my kitchen from the mid-70s and a basement track light in my mother's home from the early- 00s. Excellent value for money, you won't find a better price at any retail store!
