Working great. Setup was easy, and they've worked flawlessly with Alexa and Google Home
I've bought and installed a good number of different smart switches. This is an excellent switch, especially considering the price, and will be my new go-to if I ever need more. Install: Installation is just connecting the 4 wires coming off the switch to 4 wires behind your current switch. Install is easy if you have enough space to fit the new switch in the gang box behind the switch plate, and it has both a neutral and ground wire. (Some switches only have 2 wires behind them, line and load. You cannot use this switch.) There are 4 wires leading out of the switch and included twist connectors; I found installing these a fair bit easier than switches which have screw terminals and the connections feel more secure (I hate twisting wire around screw terminals). Your existing switch might not have line (the cable which always has power) and load (the cable that goes to the fixture and has its power toggled by the switch) wires labeled -- or labeled incorrectly -- since with most conventional switches it doesn't matter. For this switch, you need to make sure you connect them to the proper load and line wires or the device won't power on. So if your device seems dead, try swapping your line and load connections (you won't have hurt anything with them having been backwards for a little bit). The device will also not power up if the neutral line isn't connected. If your device doesn't power up, make sure that's connected properly. Connecting: All 8 switches I set up paired without problem. Hold the button down until it starts flashing, and the app finds it quickly and adds it to the app. Voice assistants and remote control: These switches connect to both Alexa and Google Home. Both have been working perfectly and respond quickly and consistently. (Since these are controlled on the cloud, I was worried latency could be an issue but it wasn't with these.) Local control: I'm not taking a point off or anything because this wasn't a listed supported feature, but I really, really wish these switches offered better local (ie, non-cloud) access and control. As a home automation geek I use Home Assistant to control my home's smarts, which runs on a little Raspberry Pi computer. Having the ability to control these without the cloud would be awesome, but isn't possible anymore due to a recent firmware version. That's a huge shame because there's a decent chunk of hobbyists like me who really appreciate non-cloud control (it's faster and more reliable). If any of the company reads this and can figure out something here, you could get a decent chunk of passionate users :) All that said... I'm still really happy because the cloud functionality has been working flawlessly and with no noticeable latency. I guess it's not a big deal if I can't control my lights if my power is out huh

Great WiFi Smart Switch
I'm really happy with these switches and I ordered a bunch of them. The standard Smart Switch is the one on the right in my photos. Up front, the manufacturer has multiple generations of switch which are visibly NOT identical. The 3-way switch (pictured on left) does not have the same appearance. Functionally they both work great though. As for my review, the switches seem very well built and the instructions were actually quite detailed which was nice because wiring these was a bit different than how the original standard switch was used. No complicated electrical work was required though. A lot of reviews note issues with getting these to work on wifi, I originally had a small issue as well but easily worked through it. The biggest factor is that you MUST use a 2.4GHz network which is standard for most IoT Smart devices currently. Most networks should still support this as well but you need to ensure you're phone during configuration is also on that network. You also can use WPA2 with AES security but I DID find that having TKIP enabled didn't let my switch connect. As I was creating an SSID just for these I didn't mind turning it off, but that may be a common issue that isn't called out in the guide. I also did some advanced firewalling that may be useful to anyone so inclined or curious. These switches appear to only connect out to AWS addresses which was nice, was hoping it wouldn't all be going to China. They utilize tcp/443 (HTTPS) and tcp/8886 for normal operation and require tcp/2443 only when doing a firmware update. As long as you provide a DNS server, nothing else is needed for these switches. I have these added to the Smart Life app which works pretty well and looks graphically up to date (though I am working through a device "grouping" issue). I also have them integrated to Google Assistant and am loving the ability to ask Google to turn on the kitchen lights and - tada! I'm very happy with this purchase and will definitely continue to buy from the same manufacturer. The switches are well made and I like the direct wifi capability without needing a separate hub. Do note, they do take up some space in an electrical box. I had a tough fit getting two into a double gang box with the excess wire and wire nuts(the one pictured) but I managed.

great, affordable option
I've been putting off installing smart switches, unable to justify the cost of installing so many around the house, and concerned the cheaper options wouldn't cut it. I finally pulled the trigger on these, and couldn't be happier. They're simple to install (about 15min per switch, once you know what you're doing), the Smart Life app is responsive and reliable, and with a bit of futzing, you can fully integrate with Smart Things, Alexa, etc. I'll comment on a few concerns I had going in, based on other comments I'd seen before purchasing: Potential Concern 1: The device is too deep to fit well into the box. I didn't have any trouble. I've installed two into a 2-gang no problem. My house was built late 70s, then extensively renovated in the early 00s, so I've a mix a shallow, 40 year old boxes and deep newer boxes. The shallow boxes were a bit of a puzzle to get the wires folded in well, but I got them all. Potential Concern 2: Wifi based switches are less reliable, power outages cause issues reconnecting, etc, etc. I have only had these installed for 3 weeks, but haven't had any trouble. Note that I've repeated caused "power outages" by throwing the break switch while installing other switches, and they've always immediately reconnected. In the most extreme case, I installed a switch, then a week later replaced it with a smart dimmer from the same company and left the original switch on my work bench, then a week later installed it somewhere else--smart life immediately recognized the switch and everything was fine (though of course I then renamed it). If it can handled a 1 week power outage, I'm sure it will be fine for any real world scenario. Potential concern 3: Wifi based switches have too much lag. I don't have any trouble with this. I have numerous automations in which once switch flips on many others (how annoying is it to always flip the same 5 switches when you walk into the kitchen? Problem solved!). There's essentially no lag, provided your internet is reliable. Potential concern 4: Limited interop with Smart Things and Alexa. I do like the Smart Things app better, and I have some smart devices (notably, a Door Lock) that don't work with Smart Life. But the internet is full of wonderful hacks. I followed one in which I set up a virtual switch in Smart Things, then used ifttt to have Smart Life switches flip the Smart Things virtual switch. That Virtual Switch implements the contact sensor APIs, and so can trigger Alexa, the door lock, whatever. It's a bit annoying to set up, but provides infinite interop between Smart Things, Smart Life and Alexa, which covers just about everything. The main issue here is that ifttt has significant latency, so this only works for links that can tolerate substantial lag. Two Annoying Things: 1) The switch doesn't implement the contact sensor API Alexa uses. So you can't trigger Alexa routines when you flip a switch. The ifttt/Smart Things Virtual Switch hack fixes this, but adds considerable latency and it's annoying to have to do that. 2) Smart Life has a limit to the number of automations you can have. I've no idea why, couldn't find documentation of what that limit is, and it was annoying when I hit it. Also, the Smart Life app has some questionable UI choices that make it a pain at times to work with (at least on iOS). A final note: These are single pole switches, which means they're not intended to replace 3 way switches. BUT, if you understand how 3 way switches are wired, you can hack two of these to serve as a three-way (or arbitrary-way) switch. The trick is to make sure both switches have a constant power source (ie, the Line). Often, one of the three way switches doesn't have that, but you can use the Traveler to run power to the switch that lacks the line. Then chose one switch to be connected to the light via it's Load, and cap the other switch's Load. Finally, use Smart Life to link the switches together. I used a similar hack to change a three-way switch in my kitchen so that the switch by the door to the garage acts as a master switch that turns on all kitchen and dining lights. As a matter of cost, this is significantly cheaper than buying two 3-way switches, but more expensive than using a single smart three-way switch and leaving the other dumb.

Seamless Integration with Alexa but delicate physical/manual switch
These are great wireless wall switches that work seamlessly with Alexa. The modern snap on/no screws switch plates that are provided give it a good look. With that, I did have a few of the physical switches break. So while you could still turn the light on and off with Alexa if you tried to do it manually at the switch it would not work. It seems some internal component of the switch broke. Had this happen on at least two of the ones I installed. I had to replace them with another one. So I don't know if this is a manufacturing issue or not. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Need to make the physical switch a bit more robust.

Really high quality switches that I recommend to everyone!
These switches are super nice. I started with the two pack to automate my kitchen and garage lights. It was so easy to install because it came with eveything needed to complete the job. The integration with the Smart Life app was easy and Alexa figured it out automatically. After becoming more familiar with smart home products and they're voice command capabilities I made the switch to google everything. Using the Google Home app on my phone I was hooked. The google mini hub was my next purchase which makes the use of voice commands even easier since I have a screen lock on my phone (you can't use google assistant when your screens locked). I bought a 3-way switch next to control my hallway lights. I love that only one of the two switches needed to be changed. I installed another 3 way in my bathroom and also at my brothers house. These switches work so well and look so nice that I have recommended them to my co-workers and my patients as well. I bought this four pack so I could automate the front entry/patio, back patio, and side door. I recommend getting some lever wire nuts instead of using the nuts that come with these switches. They will make your install go faster and you can rest assure no wires will get loose during the install. After months of use I have never had a single issue with any of my Treatlife switches. I have only seen a few negative reviews about their products and I always feel compelled to respond to them because its seems to be due to their poor installation or an outdated Wi-Fi router. This review is completely honest and I'm not paid or compensated for it. I work as an ambassador at a well known foundation hospital in Southern California. These products have helped so many of my patients with disablities have a better life using home automation. My next purchase is going to be the dimmer switch. I think that it's going to be a game changer for my bedroom light.

I'm happy with these switches
I bought one smart WIFI switch from a different brand because I wanted to see if I could install it myself and if it would work with the wiring in my home. After getting it to work, I decided to buy more of them, but I ended up getting these Treatlife switches instead of the other brand because they can be purchased in a pack of 4 and also the little white light on the switch is convenient for me (more on that later). Connecting the switch: OK so I have to start by saying that I have an older home (built in the early eighties) that does NOT have a neutral wire. I became upset when I purchased that first switch and learned that it needed a neutral wire to function properly, but I was determined to find a way, so I started researching forums and watching youtube videos. I learned that the homes without neutral wires will have 4 options: 1, Don't install a switch; 2, Hire an electrician to run new wires throughout your home; 3, Hire an electrician to run a neutral wire from the switch to the light; and finally, 4, Purchase a dimmer switch that works without a neutral wire. Well, I didn't particularly like any of those options because those dimmer switches cost at least $40 each and the electrician would be much more costly that that. So I kept researching, and I came across a youtube video where the guy just wired his neutral and ground wires together, and it worked. This seemed like a good solution, but possibly dangerous, so I did some more research on this and I found that it could be unsafe for anyone working on the home in the future because this method will make the ground wire "hot", and it could cause a shock. I decided to do it anyway. Since I own my home and I don't have plans to leave here anytime soon, there's little chance that I'll have anyone working on my wiring. And if someone does need to work on my wires, I'll insist that they cut the power before attempting any type of electrical work. I installed that first switch over 2 months ago, and it worked perfectly. I waited about a week and the house did not burn down, so I purchased 16 of these Treatlife switches, and I wired them up the same way. Now, all of my lights can be controlled by Alexa and I am happy. The switches were easy to install and they will automatically reconnect to your WIFI if the power goes out or if you restart your modem. I am very happy with this product and I would recommend it to anyone looking to add some convenience to their life. The only (sort of) negative thing I can say is that this particular switch has a little white LED that stays on when the switch is in the "off" position. I actually like this feature because I can easily find the switch in the dark if I want to manually use it without talking to Alexa. But my wife, on the other hand, does not like that little white LED because she says she can't sleep with the light on. She claims that she can still see the light even with her eyes closed, which I find very hard to believe, but I wanted to mention that in case there are any other people out there who need total complete darkness when they sleep. If I ever experience any electrical issues, I'll come back here and update this review, but as of now, I'm very happy with this product.

Must have for a smart home, but be careful with remote hacks!
Installed over 25 smart single switches and smart dimmers, all of this brand, same company and seller, in combination of 1, 2 and 3 switches in one single box. Exceeded my expectations. Not only looks great, especially at night with the small LED light in each unit, so you will never miss a switch in a dark room, but neither one switch lost connection. It is very easy to operate these switches and dimmers both with hands and voice, I'm mostly Android person. What I got is fantastic experience - go to bed or leave the house - one voice command and all switches are rearranged as you wish, I leave a few lights for the evening/night for dogs while I'm not home, so the dogs are comfortable and can better protect my house with some light, but all others go down. I can also control all lights remotely and see the status of each one, which is very handy. When I get back home, then one command, while sitting in the car, and I get the required groups of lights on right away - super convenient! I do have a video surveillance system and it works pretty well at night. But the street lights have already burned out several months ago, so, if I need more light, while sitting in my room or even far away and monitoring my area on my 4k monitor, I simply give 1 command and can turn on all lights on my front yard, backyard or around the entire house. I'm not even talking about the schedule, when I can turn the required lights on or off according to the time of the day. A few months ago I could not even dream about it. Great addition to the house! In order to finish this project I will need to install three 3-way switches in the groups of 1, 2 and 3 switches per box. Waiting for this experience as well, already received 1 more switch to test it out and will order 2 more to finish this project. Btw, in most cases the dimmers are preferable since they give way more flexibility with light. I also do have Philips Hue system, but it is more expensive, use its own lights and switches and you will be bound to it once started. The switches above work with any type of bulbs, I was surprised when I verified that with my own experience. P.S. Forgot to add, that it also perfectly works with the ceiling fans. Once connected through the smart switch I can turn on or off the ceiling fan, which makes it even more convenient. A regular setup is 1 smart switch goes to the wall outlet, another 2 go to the ceiling fan: the dimmer goes to the light while the switch goes to the fan itself so it can be turned on or off remotely. Such a comfort! The wall outlet can be used for some desk light, mobile fan, etc. I am extremely disappointed! Something happened to most of the switches in January 2023. I'm under impression, that most of these switches decided to update the firmware and now in order to turn them on or off we have to press the button and hold it for a few seconds. Before that it was nice and quick. Now it's a nightmare. The smart part still works ok. Today 2 more switches were broken same way. Made in China, right? They broke most of my installed switches remotely after they were working for almost 3 years with no complaints. Is it fixable? Or the entire investment is trash now?

Pros and cons about this product
In short, I’ve been using this product for a little over a week and I love it, read next to find out why. First of all the packaging. Everything comes well Organized and all of the required the mounting hardware is included, even a screwless white plate that’s pretty neat for this product. The installation can be a bit of a hassle just because of the existing wiring in my house, some of my junction boxes were a bit too crowded so inserting these big switches was a bit of a challenge, but with a bit of patience and a few youtube tutorial videos on how to wire electrical boxes everything is possible. For the simple electrical boxes the wiring was a breeze, under 5min to install. One thing you have to be careful is applying too mich strength to the box because the front plate might break from the circuitry box, if this happens you can use some regular plastic glue and problem solved. The touch, this is one of my favorite things about this product, the feeling of satisfaction when clicking the button, it’s like clicking a computer mouse button, it makes you feel like you accomplished something everything you press that button. The switch is very responsive and it even had an LED indicator showing the status of the switch and it serves to find the switch at night. The app installation, this is definitively something that I didnt love about the product since I’m pairing it with my iphone (not sure if Android has the same issue. The pairing instructions included in the box seem to be a bit outdated compared to the app, I had to pair the device using the alternative mode where you have to manually join the product wireless server, I believe this is called AP mode. It’s a bit tedious because you need to wait 2 minutes for the first pairing mode to fail before you can try the alternative mode which takes almost 2 more minutes to complete. The app, once paired, the app is very straight forward, and pretty much has all the functionality you need, scheduling, grouping different devices per room and it also allows easy google integration. Given the price of the item is around $10, I would say it’s pretty well worth it. My personal rating is 8/10 just because of the pairing process which you only have to make once.
