We are proud to offer the highest quality aftermarket probe available for Recteq (Rec Tec) grills. We have built and engineered these meat probes to provide the most accurate temperature measurement available, all with no extra additional electronics to purchase. These plug straight into the factory ports! While these probes are designed to be used in the brutal environment of a BBQ grill, we do not recommend them for dishwasher use. These probes are built to be water resistant, however the harsh chemicals and repeated direct exposure to high heat from the dishwasher will often result in the probe losing its accuracy or functionality over time.

Not super impressed
The stock RECTEC probes work better then these. Was told to get these and so far they haven’t been great. Temps have been inconsistent. I’ve tried them over the course of many cooks, and I’ll be tossing them. Tried to verify temps using ice water and boiling water, set the temp into the PID controller on my rec-tec, and then repeated the process to verify their still holding, and I get different results by 5-10 degrees. Would recommend staying with the stock probes.

Did not work like some reviews stated
I used these on my Rec Tec Stampede and they are off. I know this because I used my Classic Thermapen plus I decided to trust Rec Tec Temperature Probes and my Boston Butt was not tender enough to pull the bone out should have gone with what the Thermapen was telling me....not done !!! I will now have to go into the settings on the grill to offset the difference so the probes will be right. Hopefully that will solve that problem only hope they hold up after a great deal of use, I think they will as they look to be made much better than the ones that came with the grill. I gave them four stars because in the reviews I read they work spot on right out of the packaging. The other reason is that one of the probes I have to twist in the socket to get it to work. Not sure if that is the probe or the grills problem. But the probes that came with the grill I don't have to twist.

not accurate
saw some folks on various boards recommend so I tried these. Bought three, went back to the RecTeq versions. These are just not accurate and often when I plug them in will show crazy high numbers, unplug and they may read correctly. Almost always read different than the instaread.Ultimately, the OE versions are better for me. Just plug them in and they work. Nothing worse than overcooking a steak or something because the temp you think you have is not accruate. Not complaining about a few degrees...10 degrees on both of them.

Not accurate.
Says it’s Rec Tec compatible, but the temperature swing madeIt unusable. It’s notMuch more $ to buy the genuine article from Rec Tec, which I ended up doing.

Better than the Rec Tec provided probes.
I had issues with the OEM probes keeping accurate temps....they would swing +/- 50 degrees. These probes are better quality and they keep a VERY accurate temperature. I would recommend these if you want accurate readings. I compared their readings to my thermapen and they were right on.

They don’t last
When I bought these they were amazing. After a few weeks the first one stopped working. The second on quit a few weeks ago so neither of them lasted two months. Such a bummer as I was so excited.

Better than the stock probes
Stock probes went out so I bought these and they are better. Better quality all around, the cord is better and doesn't get all tangled up and burnt. And probe just feels more sturdy and durable and is accurate.

Great quality!
Much better than the probes that came with my RecTec smoker. They're heavier and thicker, making them feel much more durable. For anyone looking for probe replacements, I highly recommend these.
