Cotz Face SPF 40

I hate sunscreen. I hate how it feels, I hate applying it, I especially hate how it smells. Because of this I NEVER wear sunscreen unless it is on my body, smells like fruit, and i'm at the beach or the pool. I'm in my mid+ 40's and was just told that I have melasma on my forehead. To keep it from getting worse I decided to try this. It was a MUST that the product be unscented because if not i'd never use it. This is the most perfect facial sunscreen ever created. It has ZERO smell whatsoever. The texture of it is more whipped feeling. It smooths on so easily. I like that this has multiple purposes, it's spf obviously, it's a primer so makeup goes on over it so smoothly, and the tint to it is so amazing. It's not too dark and blends so beautifully. I honestly only need to wear a translucent powder over top of it. It doesn't cover imperfections but it does blur them a little bit which I like. Ulta used to sell this brand but no longer, so when I ran out of my old tube I came here to get it and will say the price seems high for the amount of product that you get but it is actually what the normal retail price is elsewhere and you need so much less than you think you need. One tube does last a really long time!

I purchased this primer months ago and just ran out—it lasted a long time because I only use it a couple of times a week. It’s a bit pricey for me to use daily, but if cost isn’t an issue, this could easily be a go-to product. This is the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. I don’t understand reviews saying it’s too thick—it’s a primer, so that’s expected. If you don’t want a thicker texture, this just isn’t the product for you. I have very oily skin, and this mattifies beautifully and makes my pores look smaller. It layers perfectly over vitamin C and moisturizer, never pills under foundation, and keeps my makeup in place all day. Unlike other sunscreens, it doesn’t burn my eyes or cause my makeup to slide off. If you have oily or combination skin, it’s definitely worth trying.

I’ve tried countless sunscreens over the years, and this one is hands-down my favorite. Unlike so many others, it doesn’t run into my eyes or cause any irritation, even on hot or humid days. That alone is a huge win. What really makes this sunscreen stand out are the top-tier active ingredients: Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide. These are the gold standard for physical (mineral) sun protection, offering broad-spectrum coverage without the harsh chemicals. I have very fair skin, and the tint in this formula blends in seamlessly — no white cast, no orange undertone, just natural-looking coverage that evens out my skin tone beautifully. It feels lightweight and non-greasy, and wears great under makeup too. I’ve already recommended it to two friends and they’re just as obsessed as I am. More people need to try this — it’s seriously that good

I received a tube as a PR package right as I started to notice my longtime facial sunscreen was creasing in my fine lines. I’ve had zero luck with tinted sunscreens in the past. One, I’m allergic to a bunch of sunscreens for no rhyme or reason according to my dermatologist and an allergist. So I’m limited on what I can use. Two, most tinted moisturizers have made my skin an oil slick. So I’d settled into an almost decade long relationship with Vichy Capital Soleil Anti-Aging Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50. I’ve lived with the white cast on my light olive skin. For the most part I could blend it in pretty well. But now that the fine lines are getting a little more pronounced as I’m in my late 40s, it just settles in them and creases more than I like throughout the day. So this Cotz showed up and I gave it a try. I love it. The color blended beautifully. No more white cast. And it left me feeling moisturized and matte. It almost has a cashmere like texture on the skin. It wears so well. I don’t spend a huge amount of time in the sun and I also don’t burn; I tan very easily. So I’ll assume the SPF protection is doing what it says it does. As for under makeup: I’ve been laying a gel blush and a setting powder over this and been really happy. I’m not a foundation person. I do like a tinted moisturizer or primer and this fills that roll really well. I’m now on my second tube which I bought myself and have since stockpiled an additional 2 tubes. So I plan to stick with this sunscreen as I move through my late 40s.

I really like this primer / SPF 40. It is malessezia safe. Meaning, it will not flare fungal acne/ eczema / psoriasis or other dermatitis. I have somewhat oily skin, so I like that it is a matte formula. I don't like to wear a lot of makeup, so I use this alone over a light moisturizer. It does not dry or irritate my sensitive skin. I only wish they made it in more colors. It is a bit light for my medium skin tone, but I can balance it out with a finishing powder that's a little darker. This is the only reason I don't give it five full stars.

Does not leave any white cast after rubbing it in. Also very light. No sticky feeling

This works great as a facial sunscreen, however I haven’t tried it for extreme sun exposure yet. I have lupus so I have to wear sunscreen even indoors and I haven’t had any reactions to any of the ingredients and overall I have had less reaction to light since using it. I am a very pale white person, and this sunscreen does not make me look orange or make my skin darker at all, it just evens out my rosy cheeks. It looks dark when it comes out of the tube but spreads fairly easy. I went on a vacation last year with my boyfriends family who is all Native American and brought a mineral sunscreen and It turned them all white tinted, did not rub in at all and they all thought it was hilarious 😬 that does not happen with this one! This would be a great product for those of darker skin who want a MINERAL sunscreen! If you’ve ever used a mineral sunscreen you’ll know a lot of them have a white effect to them that doesn’t blend in easily at all! For white people, it isn’t that big of a deal. But as a darker skinned person, you usually aren’t very happy with that effect. It also has a very matte finish to it and doesn’t leave you looking oily like a lot of sunscreens. Highly recommend! 😊

Let me start by saying, I usually don't write reviews unless I'm procrastinating, have strong feelings one way or another about a product, or when I remember that I rely on good reviews from real people to make purchase decisions (I always check amazon profiles of informative reviews to be sure it's not a one off bot / paid review). As a skin care professional, I happened upon this brand through the recommendation of a dermatologist specializing in contact dermatitis and after using this product for several months, I'm sold and have signed up for a renewing subscription through amazon (deliveries at set intervals). I'm preferential to physical blocking sunscreens because they're better for marine life, they work better, and I'm also sensitized to the components of many chemical sunscreens, but like most people dislike the thick white pastiness of some brands (which arguably contain a higher % of zinc oxide or titanium dioxide). This sunscreen has a matte finish, and subtle color that hides minor blemishes but also does not leave the sensation of a residue. It comes out of the tube chunky-ish but goes on smooth like a cream but sits on the skin with at a level of protection where I actually don't reapply all day (I do reapply if sweating or in water). I haven't gotten a tan with this on, and that's important in my field. I really think Cotz has done a great job and it's reasonably priced. It's a bit too expensive for me to justify using this for the entire body (I'll use a cheaper zinc oxide sunscreen for high sun outings) or a chemical blocker from the store (anything SPF 50+) for large body surface area, just for practicality. But day to day, the Cotz tinted sunscreens are the ones I prefer. I know there are a variety of Cotz products-- I've only tried the aqua-colored tubes of SPF 40 and SPF50 with tint.

So far I love the feel of this SPF it feels better than any other sunblock I have used! I haven't tried it on my face though. So will update soon. I've heard it gives great protection a lot of people seem to love this product! .. Update .. I have used this stuff nearly everyday on my face for the last few months. This and Cotz Sensitive sunscreen are my favourites. They are the best I have used and I've tried loads of different sunscreens as I have tried to find 1 for daily use for the last 2 years which isn't too greasy and doesn't leave a white cast. The cons of the tinted sunscreen is I like it really slather a lot on and you can see that it doesn't completely rub in so what I do a lot now is use the Cotz sensitive and tinted together and it's a lot better. The Cotz sensitive is really good for dry skin. A little shiny but it's very good :)

I bought this for a vacation to Maui and it worked out perfectly for what I was wanting it for. I use daily foundation and when I go to the pool etc, I still like to have something to even out my skintone. I am fair but not porcelain with freckles. I used a pump of my normal Bobbi Brown foundation with an equal amount of this product. At first when I looked at the color of this sunscreen, I was a bit scared but mixed with my foundation it was perfect. It spread on evenly and easily. The most impressive part is that it actually helped keep my skin matte - normally a tough chore but even moreso in the humidity of Maui. It kept me from burning - I got a bit pink one day but that was from a ton of time in the pool and not reapplying - my own fault. It did a really good job even under those conditions - normally I would have been burnt to a crisp. Now, this tube is small - you won't be using it for anywhere but your face, it's not meant for that. Highly recommend this product!

The product is excellent.. its fungal acne safe, good for oily skin and no white cast as it is tinted... that is a known thing for everyone... but i write this review mainly to specify another thing...the seller is good the product is orginal one... i encounter with the genuinity of the product several time before during online purchases... this seller is good

This product is fantastic. I had read a review online that it was the same as the Tizo 3 tinted mineral sunscreen (which I had been using), and it is. Non greasy, slight tint, good protection. I have sensitive skin, and it works like a charm. Highly recommended.
