Saving me a lot of work for just a few bucks.
Bought 2 of these to drain the pontoons on my pond hopper which had 2 near useless stoppers on top of the pontoons in front of the boat. These things leak like crazy and will waterlog on dry land from rain alone unless sheltered. Got tired of flipping it upside down and propping the back of the boat high enough to drain it after each use. Installed these in the back of the boat down low and glued them in permanently since the boat is made of plastic way too thin for screws and marine silicone. So far so good. Glad I bought these.

Dependable Drain
Added this to the rear of an Old Town Otter plus kayak that didnt' have a drain. I got the kayak as a secondary so my friends wouldn't have to rent/borrow to go on trips with me, and it was a very basic kayak (but cheap and stable). Added to the top just before the foam floats in the rear; it drains very well and easily. It does not drain all the water out, but that is bc I placed it high due to the foam packs. I solved the water issue with some car wash sponges under the seat to soak up what little water remains. Point is, it's a plastic drain. It seals well (I used marine sealant also), is easy to open/close, and was low priced. I do like the attached plug so that you won't lose it.

Good Item and Easy to Install
My Hobie Revolution Kayak had one drain plug for the hull and it was on the very back and towards to top. I wanted a drain plug towards the bottom to allow draining while it is sitting right side up. This item was easy to install and includes a rugger gasket, but I also added a little silicone also to insure a good seal. My only issue with this item is it has more profile sticking out from the kayak than I would have preferred and would have loved it to have most of the profile on the inside of the kayak, but this works well either way. I am happy with this and I added one to front and back side of my kayak.

Does the job!
I was looking for a small drain plug for my 12ft aluminum boat, it had no drain plug so water would just collect at the bottom very fast. This plug worked great and after using it for a year, I do wish it was a bit bigger so that leaves didn't plug it easily. I might just remove the parts that keeps it from being removed completely to allow more draining. I knew the size and went for it, I am happy with it as it does what it was meant to. Construction, very strong and sturdy, no problem of it moving or bending as it's screwed in. It's a plastic drain, it does what you need it to do, make sure you understand its size before buying, get some good marine sealant and the job should be easy.

Works as expected.
I'm very satisfied with this drain. I put two in a kayak and was pleased with the result. When installing I used a 7/8 spade bit and it was a tight fit but worked well. I also used some silicone to make the seal water resistant because my surface was slightly curved so I didn't use the included seal. My only gripe would be that if you are installing this in a kayak be careful of the mounting screws protruding into the kayak. They are sharp and could easily puncture, tear or otherwise damage anything that brushed against them.

Easy
Installed with no problems. I used a 25mm holes saw and it fit perfectly. Put some silicone on both sides of the rubber gasket. $19 4 Pc. - TCT Metal Hole Saw Kit
