I see different sizes for the 9" shelf. Is it 9", 9 1/4", or 8 7/8", or something else? I have a 9" opening and want to know if it will slide out.

Just measured mine, exactly 9 inches across the front, but with side support bars its 9 1/4 inches, it will not fit in 9 inch opening, sorry. hope that helps

No.The rack actually measures 9" wide so you would need at least a 10" wide cabinet I would think so that it clears the hinges on the side of the door as you pull out the rack.
