Addis 518418 Everyday Kitchen Food Waste Compost Caddy Bin, 4.5 Litre, Blue Haze

With a kitchen compost caddy costing up to 30 pound, this is a bargain. It might not be metal, or be from some trendy brand. It does the job, and well. They are stackable, and don't allow smells to leak as the clip down lid forms a decent seal. Capacity is good enough, any larger, and you might be tempted to leave the device too long, and it will become incredibly smelly then. Everything slides out into the compost heap, no staining left. The only small issue, the plastic does feel thin. Then again, it seems to be taking abuse. It has been dropped twice and still no damage.

I bought this to use as a compost bin and it's great. It's compact and doesn't take up much space. Very easy to clean. Great buy.

This is a lovely size and colour for counter-top use, and the lid closes securely to keep out flies. The build seems sturdy and I think it will last a long time. Very happy with this purchase.

Bit smaller than i thought (my fault) but does what is required. I use it for my laundry powder and it's easier to lift that than a big bulky soap box. Might be tempted to treat myself to another.

I am so pleased I decided last minute to buy this instead of the £17 Brabantia version. Its really cute, lovely colour, looks great on the worktop, and is just the right size. It's lid is easy to open and close and keeps all the smells in and flies out. Thanks to the handle its easy to carry into the garden and dump the contents into the compost bin. Because of its size I can easily go 3-4 days before I have to make that trip. All in all I cant fault it and I'd happily buy it again.

Sturdy, aesthetic and a good purchase for disposal of leftovers, teabags, chicken bones, veg peelings etc in tandem with disposable, recyclable food rubbish disposal bags. Easily fits in bottom of dishwasher when lid is removed and put in separately.

Ideal size to sit on the kitchen counter, still holds plenty. We put the week's vegetable peelings etc. in here and then take it outside for composting later. Also looks really bright and clean! Only issue is that I use bio-degradable caddy/bin liners- once the liner's in, the lid doesn't really snap down perfectly but it does still close. Not a huge issue, no smells or flies yet. :)

A great study product. Would do the job perfectly but like I know some other reviews have mentioned, the lid doesn't close fully no matter how much I try to check if it needs a bit more pressure. Annoyingly this means it will never contain a smell when things have been in the bag a few days before emptying.

Product is not as good quality as it looks in photos, and was covered in some sort of dirty dust when it arrived!

Je suis très contente de cette poubelle, jolie et de dimensions parfaites pour mon plan de travail. Bonne surprise en prime : pas made in China mais in UK. Donc plus écolo car elle n'a pas fait le tour de Terre. Elle s'ouvre et se ferme très facilement. Impeccable pour une utilisation en cuisinant. Je recommande.
