Not convincingly but it has an attachment point for a lanyard so I have attached mine to a visible small float. It is definitely waterproof.

Hello. You are right: those dimensions are wrong, even in centimeters. Here are the right ones: 3 5/16 x 1 inches (length x diameter) / 8.5 x 2.5 centimeters. I measured the whole piece. The length is 3 2/16 in (8 cm), the diameter remains the same because I considered the rubber rings to take the measure.

How do I get a replacement for a defective unit? Mine died after about 6 weeks of moderate use. Drive won't even mount under Disk Utility (Mac).

If you bought it through Amazon, I am certain they will honor the warranty. Everything I have ever had a problem with when purchased through Amazon has been replaced or refunded immediately. If you did not purchase from here on Amazon then contact Corsair themselves and I am certain they will help you.
