I Married My Best Friend to Shut My Parents Up

Book review: very cute! Friends to lovers plot. Ive re-read it a few times since I purchased and would recommend to older teens and YA readers. I don't read a lot of anime so this might be very typical but I did enjoy the authors explanation of themes and the genre at the end of the book also the bonus chapters of the characters in high school. Quality review: perfect condition! Arrived on time. I wish local sellers had it in stock so it was a little more expensive than i was looking to pay but worth the read!

I wasn't quite sure what I getting myself into before reading this. Since I got into anime and manga years ago, tend to avoid most yuri manga because from what I have seen before, it was mostly soft to hard core pornographic. I am not a prude. I believe myself to be an enlightened woman. I have nothing against porn, porn for the masses, but some times I want to read something that's more playful than erotic, and maybe a little silly. A friend of mine I trust recommend this and I was taken by the humor and honesty of the story. Yes, the opening is predicated on a lie, but it is no worse than a rom-com. If you like a story that's a little, but endearing, I say give this a shot.

So my goal was to get two of the worst rated manga I have seen battle royal isn’t bad I just have that because it came with my order of this book. But like I said my goal was to get two of the worst rated manga on here and I saw the reviews for this volume maybe about a year ago or longer so I wanted to read it because of the bad reviews after buying and reading I Married My Best Friend to shut my Parents up I think it was an okay read it’s not the worst thing you’ll read like people make it out to be nor will it be the best I think it matters what type of person you are. What your looking for and why your collecting it/buying it. If you go into it thinking your going to get some ground breaking story your going to be left feeling disappointed. I went into it thinking it would be bad and that’s because of the reviews I saw and I also watched a mangatubers reading log video and listened to there opinions on it. After reading it I think I disagree with other’s peoples opinions but then again this is all subjective. The two main girls Mori and Hana both seemed compelling enough to me for me to like there dynamic Mori was a person who didn’t really enjoy life because of certain situations that happened to her while Hana was upbeat and didn’t have to worry about hardship to much. I feel like Hannah as a character progresses the story along smoothly and helps makes Mori grow as a character. Hannah definitely was flawed writing wise forcing herself onto Mori but to me it didn’t come off as malicious is wrong yes did it work out at the end for me yes. I feel like the story tackled a lot of subjects for a one shot sadly because of it being a one shot it wasn’t able to really dive deep into what it wanted to portray and this probably would have been a better story if it had more volumes. Over all I think the dynamics between the two characters works and I felt I could believe there love story. Since it is a one shot don’t expect much and it’s also a pretty quick read I finished it under an hour. Overall I still enjoy it I think the art is great and it was a cute story i feel like more people should give this a shot.

Very sweet and short loved the art

I really enjoyed this Yuri standalone manga. It had humor, drama, well written character leads, and a intriguing dynamic between them. I really would like this to become a series or a anime movie in the future. I thought the story as a whole has very relatable characters and motivations. There's something here that could appeal to everyone.

The manga was really fun, but also dealt with self-confidence, homophobia, and parent expectation. It manage to be the somewhat whacky and fun as the premise of the title would have you assume. Being about a woman marrying her friend to get get her parents to stop bothering her about marriage. Its a fun premise that does go where you expect with the cliche romance you expect. But is done with lot of maturity and tackling some real issues along the way. Creating an entertaining and satisfying story.

The art is adorable, the story is short but a fun read. I would buy a sequel, I think it’s a really cute lgbtq story. Don’t buy for a child under like 13, there are some more lighthearted adult themes.

I am at the beginning of the book and I already love it! But on one of the pages there was a red smudge, and slight damage on the outside(which I don't mind since it was with other items, but the red smudge wouldn't be from them and thats an issue for me).

Really liked this one shot yuri manga! Nice to have a story involving characters that aren't high-school age for a change :)

Er is geen beschadiging en het kwam mooi optijd binnen. De kaft voelt fijn aan in de hand en is niet te groot.

Finally I read a story like this! I was waiting for so long to read a light, funny sapphic love story, thank you! I hope I can read more stories like this.
