Public Speaking: Storytelling Techniques for Electrifying Presentations Review: Very valuable advice - in quick read format - This book reiterates lots of well known style and content best practices. A quick read will provide the reader with a refresher of good idea. It provides clear examples in the speeches that are broken down line by line. By it's nature it is a bit formulaic by sharing examples that work in the ToastMasters competitions. That is not much of a knock though, as the techniques listed have value for holding an audience and making the presentation memorable. Well worth the price. Review: Simple, but very usefull - This was the kind of book I was looking for. Very practical, with simple explanations and lots of tips and information that can help improve the quality of a speech/presentation. Nice job!

Amazing book! Very quick read
Amazing book! Very quick read, 100% practical! I'm doing seminars in front of hundreds of people since 10 years already and I also was doing acting for a while. The book gave me great ideas which I can apply immediately! The book consists 4 of the greatest public speeches from Toastmasters' champions and deep analysis of each of them. I've read a lot of other books about public speaking, but most of them are full of fluff talk by the authors, in order to write more pages. This one is exactly the opposite - short and to the point. Great read not only for public speakers but also for people who want to shape their communication skills.

Storytelling tips from pros
The tips are good but the whole experience is of an infomercial. However some of the free video links do not work anymore, instead you go to an add to buy a course.

Incredibly Useful for Writing a Speech or Presentation!
I found this book easy to ready and jammed with valuable tips to create a compelling speech or presentation. As a current Toastmaster, I was already familiar with the speakers/speeches the author highlights. I loved the author's analysis of their speeches and their tools to create a winning speech. At the end, I found the 35 tips (summarizing the book's content) beneficial when developing any speech for Toastmasters, especially a contest-worthy speech. Thank you, Akash Karia, for writing such a worthwhile book!

To learn practical tips from actual talks
Easy to read, understand, and to the point. If you really are open to learning, it is excellent. If you are arrogant, then it is not the book for you!

Storytelling Makes Presentations Stick
This was given as a gift to a new Toastmaster attending a district conference on storytelling. Toastmasters is an international non-profit organization where individuals learn presentation and leadership skills. Most join for the communication skills, and this book is a great first reference, for adding story to engage an audience while making a point for audience benefit. Stories stick, long after statistics have been forgotten.
