I like how sturdy it feels, it’s also lightweight. I think it’ll serve my purposes of vlogging for personal use as well as functioning as well as a normal tripod. Being able to wrap it around things is probably my favorite part. It’ll be able to capture interesting and different angles!

Purchased to use with my Nikon Coolpix P1000. It does support the weight of the camera but I have yet to leave it unattended while filming video. I am just overly cautious.

This thing is STRONG! I use my Nikon Zfc with it and it holds up the weight- no problem! But if I had one complaint-it’s that it doesn’t have the same kind of mount that works on a standard tripod. I wish it came with one and I’d used it a lot more.

Some people hate it, some people stand by it. I falls under "stand by it" category. This is by far the most versatile tripod I have used, it can hang on the tree,railings, any round surfaces or places that disallow big travel tripods. I have decided to spend a bit more to get the revised version of Gorillapod 3k After 6 months of use, the joints are still very stiff as if they are brand new. You could replace the plate with the peak design standard plate which is ARCA swiss standard. Vlogging, photography and filming purposes, this tripod has served all of these purposes well. Do not buy the older version of Gorillapod 3k, invest a bit more on the newer edition, the joint's materials will last way longer than the older version. The only disadvantage I could think of is the height.

I am hard to impress. This tripod has exceeded my expectations in quality of build and actual use in the field as a photographer.

Have as a gift and they love it and use it a lot!

So grateful for this purchase! Glad I spent a lil more for the 3k pro. It is amazing! No problems with it.

It was a good buy. It was steady and firm. I’m yet to functionally use it but i took time to check every component of it and it appears fine.

This is a more portable alternative to a regular tripod. It's almost always possible to find something to attach it to or stand it on wherever you need to shoot. When you're on the move, the device can be made to hold onto a rucksack or bicycle or whatever you have to hand, making it more convenient to transport than a tripod.
