Does kyolic 104 cholesterol work

I haven't had a blood test yet. I tried red yeast rice capsules for a year, which was suggested by my doctor but after a year and a blood test, my cholesterol wasn't any lower. I eat very well, no fried food, little red meat, gluten or dairy. Still, my cholesterol was high. Always has been. Don't go on statins if you can help it!

does it have a garlic taste to it whatsoever

I have taken for quite awhile, and no taste until last 2 bottles, so beware. I think they changed their processing. Makes awful smelling gas. So I contacted Amazon, and they are going to contact the company to see what is going on with that change. Hopefully it will be resolved and get back to being odorless.
