I use these for bending solid-core electrical wiring, and they do a great job. An acceptable bend can usually be had with the bending holes on many wire strippers or the bending holes on an Ideal Twist-A-Nut multi-bit screwdriver (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00R2C8WOA), but the Knipex pliers offer a bit more control. I note that some other reviews have noted the lack of a spring, and it’s probably a valid complaint when working with smaller items like jewelry or small electronic components; I have smaller, spring-loaded pliers (I think it’s Klein) for that purpose. But the Knipex pliers work better for bending larger, stiffer wire.

I purchased these to work on DIY projects for fishing lure building. I was very surprised to see that it was half the price compared to in-store retailers. This is the trusted brand by anglers into lure building, and it definitely lives up to that reputation.

I had a smaller cheaper version of this sort of plier but this one was longer (so more bend radiuses) but still fit (barely) in my Tekton small pliers tool wrap so added on to that set. Now I am set for life for round tip pliers <g> Have not regretted a Knipex tool purchase yet but not rich enough to replace / add-on to get all Knopex so upgrading over time. If you have any need for this sort of tool I would recomend it. But note - I use for electronics, not jewlery.

Matches my expectations completely. I am very happy I did not buy cheaper ones.

I was less impressed with these pliers than I expected to be, coming from a respected brand. They were stiff, not well finished and did not have leaf springs to make them easy to reopen. I would have used them for jewelry making if they had been smaller and easier to use. I’ll hold on to them for use in my electrical work but I am not really impressed with them.
