I didnt like the "clip" style, so drilled a couple of holes to hang over my aquarium. Yes, I am aware that people say not to use over water, but the light is easily a couple of feet above the aquarium and all my fish and plants are happy. I recommend this over LED because your fish and plants need UV for health benefits. At the time, the price was very good. Less than $10.

The price on this 8.5 inch lamp is so cheap and the lamp is so bright and so big! I use this light for my snake and she loves it! The 8.5 is better than the 5.5 because it provides bigger light bulbs to fit and light to have a bigger shine radius. The only issues I have on these lamps is the ceramic top of the lamp is always crooked and if you try and unscrew it to fix it, it gets more crooked. My second issue is that the clamps on the lights are really hard to assemble and the instructions make no sense, I had to watch a youtube video on it. I highly recommend this product instead of spending around 20-30 dollars on repti-zoo products, this is a great lamp!

I usually wouldn't write a review for something that has 7500 reviews, but this is a very nice quality lamp. Has a heavy porcelain socket, most of these have a metal socket and the nut that holds the shade on is thin metal. The threads are shallow and if it gets a little abuse the shade flops around and it's hard to tighten. Has an on/off switch on the cord which is kind of nice, only wish that the cord was a little longer.

I have about 10 of these for everything from plants to turtles with chickens and dogs in between. I highly recommend these but they don't have bulb guards on them so you have to position them where your animals can't get burned. I put standard heart lamps in them and they work just great keeping everyone warm and my plants alive in the winter. Simple assembly, heavy gauge metal and I've never had one fail.

Fluker's Repta-Clamp Lamp - Very well made clamp light. Packaging was good and protected the shades. Porcelain sockets are heavy and manage heat well. Used these with 150w heat lamps and had no issues. Ventilation holes near the socket allows the shades to stay cool. The clamp was heavy duty with a nice strong clamp strength. It was easy to aim the shade and then lock it into position. I have only used for 2 weeks but I am sure these will last a long time.

This dome works awesome. I did have an issue where a bulb I had in it went out faster than normal. But otherwise it is quite good. I like that this is a wider set dome, so that it can distribute the heat to a wider area in my bearded dragons tank. The quality in comparison to price is awesome. I've paid $30-50 for similar performance (through pet stores). This guy can handle watts heavy enough for basking Temps.

Used my last light hood with bulbs from 75-150 Watts for 6 years without knowing it was only rated to 50 Watts. It burnt out one day and thankfully I was there, and realized this was why! This new light hood with clamp is the same size of hood, but rated to 150 Watts! Perfect! Has been working perfectly, left on 24/7 in a terrarium, for the last 8 months. Thanks Fluker's!

The warmth is definitely on point Just be mindful that when you're planning the light bulbs in to be gentle the light bulbs do become a little loose after time and it gets hot really fast But the value of the money is definitely worth buying in my opinion
