...all in one place. The only thing missing is the practice. The Really Useful Piano Poster and Chord Progression Poster are beautifully printed on sturdy paper with a semi-glossy finish. You'll need to hang them where you can get close to see them because the print is small. It has to be, to fit a ton of info on there. As an adult beginner, I find these two posters have explanations of many things I was never taught as a grade-school clarinet student or in the few piano lessons I took some years ago. By comparison, I'd say these posters are more like a road map than a lesson in how to drive a car, so it won't hurt to have a beginner book also!

Really easy to read , and study if it’s posted in front of you . I can practice and study the charts with ease. The lettering isn’t as small , just a lot of useful information all in one place . In depth description of notes and chords and how to properly place fingers to play . Picture does show full 88 key piano , one full poster and half of the other one due to other things in the way. Just take the time to read what’s on the poster and you’ll be improving your skills in no time. Highly recommend for learning or brushing up on the piano. It is a paper poster so if you’re not careful handing , it may rip at fold creases.

I am just now beginning to learn my scales the way I should. I appreciate having this so I don't always have to dig thru my books to find my one on scales and chords. So far I'm not using this for theory so I can't say if there are any errors in the information present or not. I'll leave that to other reviewers. I'm not happy about the creases, especially since the pics tell us we can order it in a tube. We can't. I tried. Amazon needs to remove that. I was very angry to find out I had to order a creased poster set. But the creases aren't covering up any of the notes or words so there is that. I just bought a poster frame to put them in and hung them sideways. Happy with my purchase. If they shipped it in a tube I would have given 5 stars.

Actually, it can do more than root positions, but ONLY root position chords are illustrated in diagrammatical form. (i.e. a keyboard). Inversions only appear in text - E,G,C: G,C,E; A,C,F: C,F,A etc. This is NOT designed to give you all the chords possible either. (I should repeat this rather important fact) It is to show you each chord in its ROOT position, built on each degree of the scales - both major and minor. It really needs a professional teacher who understands chords, to show a beginner how to use it properly. I purchased it ONLY because it fitted my current method of teaching chords PERFECTLY. Otherwise I might recommend a proper text book with ALL chords in it. BUT, it really is useful to see how each chord is formed on each note of each major and minor scale and the relationships thereto within the scales. It's a bit hard to see 'at-a-glance' which chord is which, but again, I don't think this is its true function. The 'key' is clear to it all and each degree of the scale and type of chord is clearly illustrated. For specific purposes (like mine) it is perfect.

minor. Really love this chart because it has me playing the piano more. I'm a guitarist, but piano was originally my 1st instrument. And now I'm back at it working on various chord progressions and melodies, playing by ear what I already know from playing rhythm and lead on the guitar. The chart is helping me to play in different keys that I never played in before, kinda of like cross training with the guitar. I wish I had wipe-off markers or something to use with it, because I lose my place alot until I memorize the chord progression. I think posits work okay as well.

Very useful chart type poster, but shipped folded and has major creases which display poorly in a frame. Any type of "poster" should be shiped rolled and protected in a cardboard tube. Very poor logistical strategy to save money by the vendor.
