Great game for small kiddos!
We bought this game for our almost 4 year old daughter. Her big brother (14) has an xbox one, a Nintendo Switch (which she loves to play), and a New 2DS XL. He showed her how to play the DS and the Switch. She picked up on both immediately. So, there were the inevitable threenager tantrums when she wanted to play and big brother wouldnt let her. The Switch is a bit too delicate to let her just go to town on all the time, and it's our newest system, so he hogs it most of the time anyway lol. So, we broke down and bought her the New 2DS XL. It is a little more durable, we think, and it has worked out well. Plus, 3D is not good for little eyes, and when her brother had a 3DS, he rarely turned it on. So we went with the New 2DS XL for them both and it works fine. All 3DS games will play on the New 2DS systems, just without the 3D effects. And this game is fine and still easy to see all you need to do in 2D. We bought her Olaf's Quest and it is already one of her favorites. It's very easy to play and easy for her to figure out; yet it holds her attention and she plays it a lot. She plays levels over and over again too, so it's replayability for her age group seems good. There are a few small tasks that she usually asks me to do when playing, but not many. For instance, in some of the mid levels (30's I think) there are these pesky lil' trolls that turn into to a rock you can bounce high on when you are facing them but when your back is to them they walk toward you. You bounce on these rock trolls to get to higher places and since the trolls can move, you have to maneuver them to get them to the place you need to bounce higher. That part is tricky for her, but only when you have to make them move to a specific place, which you don't have to do every time. That's the most difficult thing for her and usually what it is when she asks one of us for help. She is very sharp for her age, and picks up on everything really quickly, including video games. So most games that are easy enough like this one, she loves because she doesn't need much help to initially figure them out...and she loves that she doesn't need to ask for much help, makes her feel big, like her big brother. We do limit her time playing the system at home, but when we travel, it's wonderful! Daddy has had 2 spinal fusion surgeries so we go to a lot of doctor appointments. This thing has been wonderful for the long waits in those offices and helps her to not get bored. We always take her Kindle and her 2DS and between those two things, all the doctor appointments are a breeze. We are grateful for games like this that are easy enough for kids her age to play and fun enough for them to remain entertained past your normal 5 minute toddler attention span. Also love that there is absolutely no violence. You don't have to beat any enemies or anything, just collect snowflakes (or juice cups, or whichever item matches the levels) and you have to collect 3 flowers in each level. It's really refreshing. Also, she has never seen the movie Frozen, and she loves this game. So your child need not be a Frozen fan to like this game. If you have a kiddo about her age or older who has picked up on video games and can play them well with little to no help like our daughter, then this game will not disappoint. I think it would probably not be fun for long for a little past the age of 7ish. Maybe 8. So ages 3 to maybe 8. My gut says past the age of 6 or 7 the replayability won't be there like it is for younger kids. Olaf's Quest is a simple and entertaining game that works on your New 2DS XL or your 3DS system. It's wonderful for the younger ages or any Frozen fan, and good for those like us who haven't seen Frozen. Your money will be well spent with Olaf's Quest!

Frozen: Olaf's Quest is an amazing game!
Don't let the other negative reviews stop you from getting this wonderful game. If you're as big a fan of Frozen as I am, then you'll love this game, no matter your age. Yes, it's true the levels are pretty simple, and sometimes very short, but it's still a fun time to be had. You get to play as Olaf and explore different locations of Arendelle. The plot is Olaf wants to create a bouquet of flowers for Anna, so he needs to collect 3 flowers in every level, along with 30+ other objects like snowflakes, carrots, etc. After every 10 levels there's a boss stage of sorts, like running from Sven or Marshmallow, or trying not to fall off Olaf's little "In Summer" boat. Again, it was designed for kids in mind no doubt, but any age can have fun with it if, again, you're a big fan of the film. Granted I would've loved to have more characters to play as, like Kristoff, Anna, or Elsa, but I guess that's why it's called "OLAF'S Quest". I hope more Frozen games are made in the future, but this time with a wider release on consoles/PC.

Fun Game!
I purchased Olaf's Quest for my 7 yr old granddaughter. She loves Frozen and this game was a good choice. Appropriate for younger children and older ones who like Frozen. She said the game was fun!

Great game for all ..
I like many other parents purchased this game as a Christmas present for my little girl , and to my delight she loves the game.. My wife and daughter love the movie Frozen and after watching game play and trailers for this game I decided to pick it up and am so glad I did. My little girl is constantly saying look at this or look at what I can do while playing this game , she is simply having a blast with it.. Just seeing what a delight this game is for my daughter I am giving this game a solid 5 out of 5 . Oh , and my daughter is 9 if anyone wants an age range , I would say this game would be enjoyable for kids ages 5 and up , I could even see many adults loving this game as it is easy to play for a short time span and pick up again later..

Really bad game. My 7 year old daughter completed all ...
Really bad game. My 7 year old daughter completed all levels in 1 day. What a waist of money!! I couldn't believe how simple this game was and would not recommend it to anyone.

Ok game for what it is
The only reason you should even consider this game is if your young child just watched Frozen, loves Olaf (the snowman), has a 3DS, and likes repetitive side scrolling platforms. So far, I have not seen one "enemy" in this game. The object is to just collect all the milkshakes (or whatever item is for the level) and reach the goal. Very simple. I would NOT recommend this for anyone older than 6-7 (but of course it depends on the kid's gaming skills). This would actually be a great game for beginner gamers.

Olaf for Nintendo 3DS super cute game!
This game is so fun for my 6 yr old son. However, we did not buy it new but luckily it works but is a little finicky and takes a couple times of pushing it in and out or re-adjusting it! I almost returned it thinking it didn’t work so,I don’t know, it worked on one of my sons 3DS and not the other 3DS but later on it did. So, I’m not sure what all that’s about but we’re glad it’s working now on my sons 3DS that enjoys it so much!!! It is a super cute game!!!

Bought this for my 4-year-old daughter and its a great "my first video game" for a child
Bought this for my 4-year-old daughter and its a great "my first video game" for a child. Olaf will walk and jump to collect snowflakes and flowers. The character cannot die and their is no game over. Collecting items unlocks new clothes for Olaf who talks and sings. My daughter loves the game and I would recommend to any young child who is not experienced with video games as its easy to pick up and learn for that age group.
