Excellent pins. Quilting Pin (Fine) (2509) are 0.5 mm x 48 mm.
These are great pins, but I'm mostly writing this review to clarify the size of these pins so others don't get confused and encounter problems like I did. These pins (Art No 2509) are 0.5 mm thick, not 0.6 mm as stated in the description. According to their website, Clover sells 2 types of quilting pins - the regular quilting pins (package labeled "Quilting Pin", Art No 2508) and these fine quilting pins (package labeled "Quilting Pin(Fine)", Art No 2509). The regular quilting pins are 0.6 x 48 mm and have opaque green and orange/red colored heads. The fine quilting pins (the ones advertised in this listing) are 0.5 x 48 mm and have translucent green and orange/red colored heads. These are the same thickness but longer than the Clover Silk Pins (Art No 2501, 0.5 x 36 mm) and the regular Clover Patchwork Pins (Art No 232, 0.5 x 36 mm). These are thicker and longer than the Clover Fine Patchwork Pins (Art No 2507, 0.4 x 36 mm). As for my review, these are great pins for a variety of purposes. They are long, thin, and sharp. They go through fabric easily without leaving large or permanent holes in the fabric. The longer length makes them easier to handle. The heads are heat resistant, so you can iron over them without fear. The box they come in is a little cheap, but it's an adequate, compact place to keep the pins if you're careful (I have a feeling most people will keep these in some sort of pincushion anyway). I keep the tape attached on one side to avoid loosing the lid. I have not had problems so far with the glass heads coming off, but perhaps time may tell. They feel pretty well attached, but I haven't gone through and checked every single pin. I have found that with thicker/stiffer fabrics, they will bend. If you're careful, it's generally it's not permanent (just when you're pinning pieces together), but I can see how they might be permanently misshapened in certain cases. Given how long and thin these pins are, I think there is a trade-off between making this material more flexible and easily bent or more rigid and easily snapped. I imagine it's safer for these pins to bend rather than break under strain, so I'm not deducting any stars for that.

Best Pins for All My Sewing Projects
I finally decided to purchase these pins. I've used Collins Crystal Glass Head Pins, .5mm x 48mm (1-7/8") for years. However, the Collins pins are getting hard to find. Glad I decided to try these. They are fine, long and sharp; in fact, just as good as the Collins pins. I love them for pinning patterns and sewing. Some may complain that they bend too easily, no problem because they're also easy to bend back to straighten them. I especially like the glass heads because I do a lot of steam pressing while I sew, they don't melt. I will certainly purchase more of these even though they are pricey; they're worth it.

Best Pins on the Market
These are hands down the best pins on the market and have contributed enormously to the accuracy of my piecing. They are thin, long, and flexible, don't rust, and slide in and out of fabric very smoothly. They are a little pricey but definitely worth the money. My only issue with them is that the coating on the metal degenerates over time. I do a lot of sewing so I just throw them all out from time to time and start with a new batch, which I am willing to do because they work so much better than any other pin I've ever used. Thank you Clover for this very high quality product!

amazingly prickly
I am NOT a quilter, so my experience is really only applicable to people who (like me) are attracted to the crystal glass pin heads. Aside from that, their chiefest attribute is how danged pointy they are. These little buggers are so pointy they can stab you from even 0.125" away. And when they stab you they mean it. On the bright side they have no trouble piercing thick fabric and are indeed perfect for pinning things together. They are also super flexible, which is an admirable feature, unless (like me) you want to use the pin as leverage to get it through the fabric the second time. I braved the torment of these stabby pins for a year or so before I finally gave up and am contentedly using inferior pins because I am just not hardcore enough for these ones. Again, I am not a quilter, so take my experience for what it's worth.

Wonderful pins for quilting
I have neuropathy in my hands and have trouble using pins. But these pins are so thin and sharp that they slide right in. Really great for matching seams when piecing quilts.

Excellent pins
I have Clovers piecing pins in both 0.4 and 0.5mm but wanted longer pins. These are just shy of 2" long. Although they are very thin and flex, or bend, they flex back to straight again. That's not to say they won't bend as with any pin, but so far it hasn't been as issue. I love the thin quality of these pins when working with Batik fabrics because they don't leave large holes in the fabric like regular quilting pins. It took a little while to get used to them, but now they are my favorite. The glass heads are small so I can iron over them without worrying about melting or adding a lot of bulk. I have not run across any pins with a burr that snag my fabric either. I absolutely love Clover pins and find them superior to all other brands. I use these for quilting as well as garment construction. Highly recommend.

These are very fine pins suitable for silk or lawn cottons without leaving a hole. Too fine for regular patchwork quilting weight cottons as they are not robust to hold pieces together. Excellent quality pins perfect for lightweight materials.

These are lovely pins. I have them in a magnetic container, that I purchased separately, and I find them so easy to use. I use them for quilting mostly.

Great quality. Pins are very fine. I use then for piecing when quilting as I am able to slowly sew over a pinned seam and, if I do hit a pin with the needle, the thin pin bends easily and does not hurt my sewing machine. Because they are very thin, they do bend and need replacing but the value of how I am able to accurately piece my quilt is worth it. This longer length is an added bonus.
