If the glove don't fit...
You must acquit!a little thicker than I thought. So, maybe, not an ideal "search" glove. But, well made nevertheless.

AWESOME
I have purchased numerous pairs of these Hatch Kevlar lined gloves over the years. They're a great fitting relatively thin glove with the added protection of Kevlar. They're a nice quality leather, comfortable, and very durable. I ride a motorcycle and wear them all year long, they're warm enough for cooler weather, but not too hot for the summer. They do not get all stretched out, and fit snugly but break in very nicely. The quality is such that I have never had them wear out, or break stitches. I have, however, seen them fade on the backs of the hand. no doubt due to hours of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight while riding, but this is to be expected. One note of caution, if they get wet, since they are real leather, you need to keep in mind they may shrink a tad if you dry them out too quickly. Otherwise I cannot say enough positive about these gloves.

Great search gloves
Like other reviews have said, they run small. Going with my gut I got a size bigger than I normally wear and they fit nicely. A nice, tight fit. I soaked them in warm water for 15 minutes, rung them out, then wore them until dry and they are now broken in to a even nicer fit.I see people on here complaining about them being too tight...well they are designed for law enforcement type jobs for searching suspects so they are supposed to be tight! You don't want loose gloves when searching someone because you won't be able to feel items in the pockets as well as you would if they were loose. That being said, I can pick a quarter up off the ground with these gloves on.They are a little thicker than the plain leather ones are because they have a Kevlar lining on the inside of them. It don't make that much of a difference though; to me the added cut protection is worth it and it still functions nearly identical to the thinner ones. They are not cut proof, though. They do add cut protection just in case someone does have a open knife or razor blade hidden in their pocket. They are not poke proof either by any means, nothing is. As long as you do what you are trained to do and don't dive in blind and wrecklessly then it should protect you from a glancing blow from a needle.Overall the glove is perfect for what it's supposed to do. All leather means you are offered fluid protection as well (even though the description does not tell you that). Much better than nylon type material in which fluids can soak into. Only reason for 4 stars is because the sizing is not true. I measure out and wear an 8 in gloves and I had to go a size up. But all in all, I recommend this product.

One of my great finds on amazon
Great gloves!! These are my second pair in 2 years. My first pair are still holding up just fine, but I figured I should grab a second for back up. Can't beat the price!!overall fit is snug, but will break in beautifully after the second or so ride. The kevlar liner is just right, not too rough or too soft. The leather is pretty thick and the fingers are wide enough. Coming from a guy with chubby fingers.I run pretty warm in temperature, so an extra glove liner was not necessary in cooler temperatures. If you are sensitive to chilly weather then I recommend a liner with these gloves. Breathability hasn't been an issue for me during the summer time... not saying I haven't had a sweaty hand here and there, it's just not an issue for me.I wear an XL in most gloves and these were no different, though I do have some space on the top of my fingers.**image** new pair of gloves are on the left and the used pair are on the right.

Best gloves I've owned. Not Puncture Proof..
Best gloves I've owned. Soft leather that still leaves you with a sense of touch. Nice fit, but the wrist band is a bit tight or maybe my hands are wider than normal. Double stitched and reinforced where it needs to be. The kevlar is woven loose and it's just one layer unlike bullet proof vests so you won't be catching bullets lol. Kevlar is pretty good at being Cut resistant, but small sharp objects like needles will pass between the fabric like any fabric would. I'm not sure what would work better than these gloves for that purpose, but don't stake your life on these preventing infected needles from passing through. Great feel, great fit very nice look and warm enough for this style of glove.

Excellent. I'm not a police officer like most of the reviewers here. I wanted a leather glove that would be good for moderately cold weather for driving and for bicycling. The gloves did that very well. They keep your hands fairly warm for anything above 30 degrees F. They are strong, tight fitting, and very stylish. They don't have wrists, which basically would get in the way with other gloves. Obviously if you're not a cop the kevlar isn't doing much for you. I want to believe it would give me more protection if I dumped my bike, but I have no idea if that's true.Overall: these are the best leather driving gloves I've ever owned.

Well Made, Run small
These are great quality gloves but they run small. I ordered XL and they are still too small.

Order a size up
I took the advice of someone else that suggested you order a size up. I did and this has made all the difference. Had I ordered my real size It would have been tight.. not snug. tight. These are thicker than I thought they would be and that's a good thing. I expected them to be very fine and that I would be able to feel the stubble of my beard through them. You can't they are reinforced and thick enough to protect your hands. I won't try to stab or slash them, that would ruin them but I have no doubt they could take a bit of force. For my purposes these are excellent gloves. Buy a pair and stick them in your bug out bag or for your car. Not sure if they'll help much in the cold but maybe protection from mild exposure.. not a snowstorm type of product.
