This shredder is a Godsend. It handles just about anything I could 'throw' at it: thick envelopes, credit cards, cardboard, TYVEK packaging, small bubble wrap... It does it relatively quietly and pretty neatly, too. Should something get stuck - a rare occasion, the simple reverse control gets it dislodged efficiently. It is quite mobile on the casters as well. The shred is a fine one so all safety concerns about the content are allayed. One thing, however, you'll learn to not shred it to capacity, as the items need some room for the contents to fall into the receptacle or it won't complete the shred. Also, i find that the enclosed bags are a bit small; I use a 10 - 13 gallon trash bag to line the receptacle for an easy retrieval and haul of the shredded bits. All in all a fine purchase for your shredding needs.

This machine is a BEAST. I call it the mini giant. I own 3 shredders and this one works circles around the others and it was cheaper. Not once had it overheated on me and I shred boxes of docs at a time. Just wish the bin was bigger, but the motor is super strong. Highly recommended.

This product has been great to use so far. We've shredded cardboard as well as lots of paper and it's held up without any problems. It has been oiled regularly, but we have put it to very good use since we purchased it. It's no louder than other shredders - my husband and I aren't bothered by the noise as it's easy to hold a conversation while shredding. The shred is cris-crossed, making nice tiny pieces for our worm composting. It is a great value for the cost.

Great shredder, works well. Can put a number of pages in at a time and not be scared you have too many pages to shred at the same time and that it'll get stuck. Only time it stops working is when it's full!!

Been shredding a lot of old files in an attempt to cleanup lately. Also had amassed a ton of swept-into-the-corner-when-company-came-over junk mail that needed to get shredded. My old home office shredder bit the dust and my wife's home office shredder, while still working quite well, only supports 1-3 sheets at a time and overheats every 10 minutes. It took forever to shred half of a 50 gallon box filled with various stuff! Since mine was dead and I was tired of spending days doing this, I decided to upgrade. I got the Bonsaii C149-C shredder. This thing is quiet, fast, and can shred at least 10 sheets of mixed-weight paper with barely any effort. It will also last up to 60 minutes of continuous use before overheating. It is not too big for a home office. The castors are a great touch and the removable bin makes emptying a breeze. I finished all my shredding in one evening! So, consider this my enthusiastic endorsement!

If you have been using those $80 shredders, this thing will amaze you! It does one thing, and does it well. In a week, I have shredded three garden trash bags of paper, including over a dozen old cards. No jam or stopping from heat issues, yet! . I was using two old & cheap Fellowes shredders that had a 10 minute run with 60 minute rest rating. They would slow me down jamming and overheating. Then, one just failed and the other started sounding like the motor was giving out. . This Bonsaii has already done 3 times the shredding in less than half the time! I am about half way done and expect this shredder to keep going for years. . The 18 sheets warning is probably for #10 paper. I am shredding thicker stock, usually old bank statements and bills. I'd say about 10 of those sheets is the limit, but my old "8 page" units could only do about 5 of them. Pros: - It is relatively quiet. - It just keeps going. - It shreds two credit cards side-by-side. Cons: - The basket was broken just above the clear plastic window, making removal and insertion feel a bit flimsy. I went ahead and taped the break, because this thing is so much better than what I was using, and I wanted to get this shredding job done. I have started an email with Bonsaii to see if I can get a new basket. - Nothing else, really... Gripes: - I just bought this for $169.99, and 10 days later it has dropped to $142.79. Do I go to the trouble to return it and reorder it just to save $27.20 (~16%)? Maybe... I need to get this shredding done and this Bonsaii is doing it (:>) I would suggest this unit to any heavy shredder in the home and small office environment!

Bonsaii !!! 16-Sheet Microcut Paper Shredder, 60-Minute Home Office Heavy Duty Shredder is an absolute beast! My husband and I shredded about five reams of documents and old credit cards the day it came. Total run time was about 3 1/2 hours. I recommend shredding 8-10 sheets maximum at any time, and periodically letting the machine run its reverse cycle. This helps ensure it runs smoothly and you'll get tiny microcut pieces. It needs to be able to run efficiently and without causing the motor to labor. Also recommended is to periodically check your bin (which is huge) and don't let it overfill. It holds a lot. Well worth the investment. Has casters you can add. Well boxed and it's a sturdy machine. Highly recommend. This replaced an older Royal machine with 8-sheet capacity. The difference is like night and day.

Say goodbye to overflowing trash cans and hello to this amazing shredder! Assembly was a breeze – think IKEA, but way less frustrating. My first day was a box-shredding frenzy! I unearthed a hoard of Amazon boxes I'd been hiding (we've all been there, right?), filling four trash bags in record time. Then, for kicks, I threw in some CDs, plastic cutlery, stapled manuals – even a couple of vintage phone books (remember those?). This thing ate it all up without a hiccup. Basically, if it's recyclable and fits, it's getting shredded. The build quality is excellent; sturdy, smooth-rolling wheels, and a perfect size (think small nightstand). It's quiet enough for phone calls – my conversations weren't interrupted at all. The bin's capacity might seem small at first, but the tiny shreds pack in surprisingly well. I use regular kitchen trash bags; three full bins fit into one bag, though it gets a little snug. My only minor quibble: the viewing window has a couple of small protrusions that can snag the trash bag when removing it. But it’s a minor inconvenience – not enough to dock a star! Just take it slow. Highly recommended for anyone drowning in cardboard! This is a worthy investment for anyone who, like me, has an Amazon addiction.

Powerful machine. It has fearsome looking teeth and shreds credit cards and three or four sheets of paper without appearing to strain. It is supposed to take 8 sheets, but I think that would be overdoing it so haven't tried. It is supposed to run for an hour, but my back aches after about 45 minutes so haven't got there yet. I am about to move house so have tons of shredding to do. I was worried, but this machine wizzes through shredding so fast that I am I confident I can do it easily. I just have a lot of bags of shredding to take to the tip. I haven't had it long, but it seems better made than the 10 minute run time cheap shredders. Also has large shreddings box
