Manifested Presence of God
I loved reading this book on a daily basis. It says to expect a spiritual journey while reading, I did not think that it would be so profound. I truly felt the manifested presence of God while reading in so many ways. I even turned 42 while reading the 42 chapters of this book. Since I read this book I have a better understanding of the unfailing love and faithfulness of God. The author explains his concepts with meaning from the Bible without relying heavily on describing each verse. It does have tons of Bible verses but uses them wisely to teach in each chapter. The way Warren uses the Bible demonstrates that he has experience teaching others.

A good and informative book
I enjoyed reading this book. Very interesting, enlightening and informative. Reminded me of my purpose as a child of God. I recommend this book to anyone who needs to know their purpose as a created being. Hope to read it again. A lot to digest and remember.

You have purpose!
I give this book to anyone who doesn't know why we exist or has an interest in wanting to know more about having a relationship with God. Written by my Pastor, Rick Warren, who can explain our purpose better than I can, so I always carry the pocket versions to have on hand as a witnessing tool to give someone who needs hope or understanding of why we are here. We were not created to live life to the fullest or get a good education, make a lot of money, buy the best cars, biggest house, etc., then die & cease to exist. What's the purpose in that? No! We were created by the Almighty for HIS purpose. It's all about HIM, not you! Once you understand that, it'll all make sense & you'll hopefully find your purpose as it is not about our short time on planet Earth, but where YOU CHOOSE to spend eternity. If you don't choose God, what's the alternative? God gives you the choice. He will not force you to spend eternity with Him if you don't want it. He loves us so much that he came down to Earth in human form so that we can see Him & believe in Him, suffered more than most can imagine on that cross to save our eternal lives. We will all live forever, but where? If you don't want heaven, what's the alternative? I don't understand why anyone would refuse heaven! What's wrong with people? Perhaps they feel they're not worthy, guilty of their past, that they can't possibly be good enough to be in God's presence? Well, guess what? None of us are good enough! Sin is sin, no matter if it's petty, misdemeanor or felony. It's all sin & God cannot be around sin. But simply believing in Jesus will wash those sins away so that we can be in God's presence in Paradise when we die. That simple!! It's called grace. We can't earn it, buy it nor deserve it. It's a precious GIFT from God & all that's needed is to believe that Jesus died for our sins. Once you receive this amazing gift (who doesn't like gifts??), take time to learn about what's in this incredible book called the Bible. You will be amazed. It's been about 8 years now since I put my faith & hope in Jesus & I'm still learning & the more I learn, the more I'm amazed & want to learn even more. You'll never stop learning & growing in Christ our savior. And guess what? I'm still far from perfect! I'll never be perfect until I get to heaven. There's so much more I could write, but it's up to each person to find their way to our Lord. Hope you'll think about your choices. And remember, just because you don't see the architect of a building does not mean there is none. Just because you can't see the energy that powers your cell phone & enables you to text or make calls doesn't mean there's no energy. Just because you can't see the wind doesn't mean there is no wind. Just because you can't see God the Father doesn't mean he does not exist. But he came down as Jesus & said, "He who has seen me has seen the Father." John 14:9. Look all around you, the beautiful trees, birds, flowers, ocean, mountains, snowflakes, your kids. Look all around. You've seen Him!! Now accept Him & find your purpose!

Easy to read, but has a page I didn't agree with.
This book is an easy read. Rick Warren, wrote this book for new or older Christians wondering what their purpose in life is. I did not like the "covenant" page in the book. It does back up each day with scripture. The book includes QR Codes to where you can watch online a 30 minute video about the few pages if you want to watch it. It includes some bonus content in this edition. I didn't sign the covenant page as it was something I felt unnecessary to do. I would not rate this book as one of the best books to read. But, it is a good book in context, but the Author shouldn't have people sign a covenant with him despite the intentions behind it could be good, but it goes against my belief system as a fellow believer that the only covenant I make is with God and not man. In this review, I wanted people to understand by buying this book and if you start reading it from start to finish you'd come across that in the start. I read it without signing that paper. The videos just go into breaking the couple page worth of information into better understanding. But, the book is designed for the fellow Christian to understand purpose.

O conteúdo do livro é incrível, mas já o conhecia em versões mais simples. Essa é simplesmente linda, capa dura, preta com escritas metálicas, uma verdadeira obra de arte pra quem ama exibir na estante!

This book deserves this rating , I never read any book from first to last in my entire life :) even my school books :) , currently I am reading the Bible in parallel and will be finishing reading all the chapters soon. So first book to complete is Rick's book. This book is not a book , ever heard people telling often in a company explaining the process how it works and they keep on referring to the term " This is the Bible " , so read it and get familiar . So I would say this book is the Bible for a meaningful purpose driven Life. I have to read it again as this book gives lot of questions , thoughts , especially the difference between World class Christians vs Godly Christians are really explained clearly. I heartfully thank Rick for this book and I strongly believe many would have got benefitted from this book and getting transformed themselves for rest of their life. Once you read this book then if you read other books then you feel like it is duplicated or you can find out the real difference between this books. May God bless Pastor Rick and his ministries.
