Good stuff
Update: I have now used several overtire filament products and have decided that the issues I had with this particular product were likely due to my own improper handling of the filament when loading my printer or just a rare case of poorly spoiled filament. In either case all of the other filaments I have gotten from Overture have been top notch. It has been consistent and high quality. I have been moving away from PLA in favor of petg and I have to say their petg filament is where it’s at. I am changing my review to five stars after finishing the spool and also using several other overtire products. If you are looking for some great quality filament don’t hesitate to try this. When I first opened the package the filament seemed a little messy compared to other brands I had tried up to that point. It didn’t seem to be ranged just a little weird. At first it printed great and consistently. However it eventually started to catch on itself and after pausing the print to check it out I didn’t see any apparent tangles so I continued on. About 30min later it caught again and caused a rather large print to fail. I didn’t notice until it made a noise when the extruded snapped the filament in two. I thought I had fixed it when it happened AGAIN later that night with another large print(stupid me I should have changed rolls). Anyway, I rewound the entire thing myself and haven’t had an issue since. All in all, I am disappointed in the performance of this roll and how poorly it was wound. However, I am having great success with overtures petg. I’m giving it 4 stars for now. If I grab another roll from them with better results I’ll do a new review.

Great value for the money
This 3D printing filament truly exceeded my expectations. It feeds through the extruder extremely smoothly and consistently, without any jamming—it’s one of the best filaments I’ve ever used! The filament diameter is uniform and precise, and it feeds through the extruder with ease. Whether printing at low speeds for fine details or at high speeds for batch printing, it maintains a continuous and stable feed. There are absolutely no issues with filament breaks, stringing, air bubbles, or clumping, and it doesn’t clog the nozzle. Since there’s no need for frequent cleaning or adjustments, it significantly saves printing time.

Good filament all around! No need to buy other name brand expensive filaments
It's good filament. It extrudes nice and clean. Inter-layer bonding is good. Surface finish is a little on the glossy side but not bad. It just lays down NICE. Its well behaved. I bought the basic black and its a nice black, not thin and weak like other filaments. No need to buy Hatchbox or Atomic, this is just as good if not better behaved just WAY less expensive. Don't be fooled that its a non-name budget filament- its better than that! No worries about mystery brand, this is good stuff. Initially I bought it on a recommendation of a friend who tried it and liked it. I wanted to use as a cheap prototype and test print filament, but its so nice and well behaved I use it for tester AND final prints. Use KISS slicer to print temp tuning and destring wizards to dial in your temps and retracts. I found that this prints better on the lower end of the temp range 195C-200C , 4.5mm retract for my 650mm bowden. I have not tried the build surface yet, I will and update my review. It seems like it will work well. The spool itself is nice. I like the windows on the side for filament remaining. I wish that there was some more reference data on the label- like filament density and conversion numbers for things like cm^3/m, g/m and the like. It seems like when you need a number like that you can not find it. I REALLY like the paper ruler too, its actually pretty handy. Data might be nice there too. The box it comes in is one of the clam-shell types. I use it for part and component storage when its empty too. I wish that they consider the box reuse after printing for stuff like that. I like that it does not have a window that I have to tape up. The multi-packs are next on my list. I hope that they can keep a consistent quality and price point, maybe add a few more colors. EDIT: I got another roll delivered today and thought to update my review with some unboxing pictures. I omitted in my initial review a compliment about the roll packaging. The roll comes vacuum sealed in a reusable silver mylar bag. This is a REALLY nice feature as some of teh so called 'premium' filament vendors charge $2.50 per bag! the bag keeps out light and moisture better than plain poly bags usually used. You can see the printed cardstock ruler and the included build surface in the second photo. Like I said, I like the carboard box type: I reuse them for parts and roll storage.

Decent PLA but has gone up in price
I have used this PLA since I first got my Ender 3 and have had bed adhesion issues. I personally do not care too much, I just use a glue stick. Otherwise, the print quality is solid. I have printed quite a few machine parts with it, and they work fine. I have had a few fails, but nothing that tweaking the slicer settings did not fix, most of the failures occur when the first layer would not stick to the printer bed. I thought the price point was amazing, 15-16 per roll. It is now 20-21 per roll, which had me looking for alternatives. Sadly the cheaper alternatives had terrible print quality, so I am switching back to Overture. A lot of people dislike the cardboard spools, but thats one of my favorite things about the packaging. I am not a fan of wasting tens of plastic spools. Overall, as long as their price does not increase more, I will continue buying my PLA from them.

top shelf performance, bargain bin price
**just copied my review below from the white PLA from the same brand. I thoroughly checked this school too and everything from that review rings true for this product as well here we go** I could not be more impressed with this filament. Feeds smooth, tangle-free and hydrated perfectly. It is not brittle. It does not snap. It came tightly shrink wrapped and air tight packaging which is always fun to cut open and wait for the.wooooosh. Not sure if this batch is brand new or what but it has been the most consistent easiest to lay down PL:A from suppliers here on A!. Just added them to the "save time, preorder list" because i will most def be buying this brand again.

Cleanest printing filament I've ever used
I've been printing for a long time on a 2015 robo3d r1+ (please don't laugh) I couldn't believe this <$13 spool of black was the correct stuff i was looking for... but it absolutely is. The highest quality filament I have ever used in over 11 years. I didn't change any settings, but went from this to this by just using this filament. head-blow-up-emoji

Not worth it! Terrible Filament for the Bambu P1P / P1S
I usually buy the same brand as my printer and just have had zero issues. I do NOT use an AMS. I have bought some other brands for some unique colors that have all worked great (some adhesion issues) despite being not 'bambu' branded. I thought, I have some shop things I want to print and can deal with some poor quality filament to save a few bucks. Overture was on sale lightning deal 25% less than the name brand stuff, so I bought 6 spools. Big mistake! Started off using the Bambu PLA profile and had a failed print, figured my fault I'll use the Overture profile, failed again. Then I went into calibration mode. Trying to dial in all the settings I need to get a good print. Now I have already spent 1 spool of the cheaper PLA on failed prints. Went back to bambu pla, worked perfect. Back to overture, heck maybe I got bad spool. Every dang problem you could think of with that roll, only got 1 or 2 usable parts out of it. The money I saved per roll is already lost, I used 3 rolls to get enough usable parts I would have gotten out of 1 name brand roll. It took me weeks to get that and would have taken me a couple days with name brand. Lastly the quality of the parts is passable but not as good. So there goes any money you'd save. If you put any value on your time then it's a complete loss. I am debating on what to do with the 3 spools I haven't used. I mean it's also putting unnecessary wear and tear on the printer. For example, when it over extrudes, the print head might bang into it. The only things I'd say this is good for is you wanted to try and hit all the problems you could have 3d printing quickly. You might have to go through 10 spools of good filament before having any issue. With this filament you can have 3 or 4 issues on the same spool! Awesome as a debugging tool. I started a job last night and after I started it the filament like bird nested unspooled and got tangled up and lost my part. Never seen that before. If you were teaching 3d printing and you wanted your students to be exposed to every possible issue they could have, this is good for that. I am very lazy, and won't write any reviews good or bad unless I feel it's my civic duty to pass this knowledge on to my fellow humans for the benefit of humanity.

Good filament
I'm using this filament with my Anycubic i3 Mega-S and it is working fine. Prints in a nice somewhat glossy black (Although the bottom layer that is against the base looks more matte) Seems to be a bit thicker (as in viscosity, not dimensions) than the original filament that came with my printer, and might benefit from being printed at a slightly higher temperature, although it seems to work just fine at the default print settings for my printer. When I first got the filament, I initially thought there might be some kind of problem, because with the filament that comes with the printer I can hit the "filament in" button, and it will extrude plastic forever if I let it. With this stuff, it extrudes for awhile, and then the feeder starts skipping. I think because it's a bit less viscous, the "filament in" just pushes the filament more quickly than it can extrude, and eventually pressure builds up to a point that the feeder can't overcome it. It was only after I ignored this and just tried a print that I realized it works fine. I am pretty new with 3d printing, and this is my first roll of non-stock filament, so I didn't really know what to expect. The scent from this filament while printing is maybe slightly more than the original filament, but still barely perceptible and not unpleasant. I have not tried the included build surface with this filament, but it seemed to work well with the Overture branded PETG that I tried it with. Adhesion is great and comparable to the stock filament as long as the gap between the nozzle and the print bed is correct. Comes in a resealable bag, which is super convenient! Also comes with a ruler, and the spool has markings on it (questionable accuracy?) to help you estimate how much filament you've used, and how much remains. (See pics) UPDATE: This is still great filament, so I haven't removed any stars or anything, but I did notice they've raised the price and it is now over $30 canadian for 1kg. I thought I had found my go-to brand for filament. Unfortunately at this price I will be looking at other options.

Don't bother blockage after blockage
Its the worst pla I have ever had not one print completed blockage after blockade swop over to any of my other filaments and no problems at all

Don't use alcohol to clean your plate with this filament.
I truly struggled with this filament trying to get it to stick to the build plate. I had no problem with other filaments that I've tried before but the nozzle would just push the filament around the plate and ball up around the nozzle. I turned up the temperature, I calibrated the z-axis over and over and levelled the plate before every print. I cleaned the plate with alcohol. Still it wouldn't stick. Finally it just started to stick. No idea what fixed it until I was printing a first layer and there was a filament string under it. Cancelled the print and cleaned the plate with 99% alcohol. Suddenly, it was back to not sticking!! So, I washed the plate with soap and water. It was sticking again. It was the alcohol! Don't use it with this filament unless you wash the plate after.

Smooth printing and great finishing.
Prints well even on 12-hour projects. Just make sure to keep the plate clean as would be the case with any other print job. I also find it prints better when the filament is stored in a room at 21C minimum.
