Great piece of kit!
I bought the speed and cadence sensor for my spin bike, so for those asking whether or not you can use these on a spin bike, the answer is yes provided that there is enough room for the speed sensor to fit on the flywheel mount at the front of the bike (see pictures for reference). Overall, you can't fault the product. It's worked great for me, is accurate as far as I'm concerned, allowing me to track data from my workouts. One thing to note, you NEED to do your research into what this thing can pair up with...I've seen so many reviews on here saying that it's not pairing...that's down to user error, not the product itself. Follow the instructions, and videos on youtube to see best ways to pair. The way I use it: I have a Garmin Vivosmart4 (basic fitness watch, a bit like a fitbit) and thus already use the Garmin Connect app. You can easily pair the Speed Sensor to the Garmin Connect app by just going into the 'Devices' settings. (Note that because you can't see live workouts via the app....you will not be able to pair the Cadence sensor to the Garmin Connect app!) Your speed sensor data (distance, highest and average speed etc) will just be uploaded as an activity when you finish your exercise. In order to see the live data, I use a free app called Cadence - on this, you can easily pair both Speed and Cadence sensors (as well as a heart rate monitor if you so wish) and have everything displayed on one screen. This will show your distance, speed, RPM etc. (I love this app as you can also switch between indoor and outdoor cycling, so perfect for me on a static spin bike). Relatively quick and easy to install (cadence sensor strap a little fiddley but didnt take long to secure) and are now tightly in place. The cadence sensor comes with 3 different size plastic straps to go around the pedal, I had to use the biggest. The speed sensor comes in a silicone case so the strap is stretchy...that being said, I had to be a bit creative with an elastic band as on the spin bike the fixture is a lot thicker than a normal bike. Both sensors automatically switch on when moved so no need to fiddle around before each workout. Overall, can't fault it. The product is definitely worth the money compared to cheaper alternatives on the market, materials feel quality too. Hopefully the review can help answer some questions others have had!

Excellent accessory to your training experience
I am using this on an indoor exercise bike. Installing couldn't be easier, both attached to the pedal crank arm. Cadence sensor paired flawlessly, the speed sensor unfortunately came with a flat battery. Annoying as this meant spending time searching for a cr 2032. Once new battery installed this also paired flawlessly. Setting the wheel size can be tricky. I knew that at approx 65rpm I covered 2km in 5 minutes. 65*5=325. 2000m / 325= 6150mm. Setting this as the wheel size ( circumstance not diameter) saw this within 2 seconds at 2km. Fine tune another time. Update Speed sensor did automaticially switch on when pedalling. Moved the speed sensor from the crank arm to the bottom of the crank, ie in same relative position & orientation as if fitted to wheel hub, however this did not resolve the problem. Swapped to road bike, still not switching on. Removed & replaced battery the sensor then came to life. Contacted Amazon who contacted Garmin on my behalf. Upshot new speed sensor on way. Great service, in resolving this frustrating situation.

Instructions not great but it's good once you get it working
This is a good device, it's easy to attach to the bike and very simple to use. The manual seems to expect you to already know what you're doing so personally I'd search the web for some help setting up. I did, and I'm fine. It does work with the phone app but for best results you should definitely interface it directly with your Garmin device - ie smart watch. I have a Vivoactive 3 and it's a great companion to give me speed monitoring when I'm using my bike trainer indoors. Remember that it takes 2 rotations to switch on. So when training, jump on your trainer, do a few pedal strokes and stop... then set your watch running.

Speed Sensor 2 Replacement
I have owned both of these sensors for about a year. However, as many have noted, the speed sensor has an issue with waking up and requires the battery to be removed and reinserted to get it working again. I have dealt with this issue since day one. I opened two tickets with Garmin but received no response. Eventually, I decided to call them, and my issue was quickly resolved by issuing a replacement. Although I have not yet received it, I am hopeful that it will fix the wake-up problem. Overall, the sensors are great when they work. I am especially pleased that I can use them with my Apple Watch now as well.

Indoor Training - Made Easy
I bought both the speed sensor and cadence sensor as a pair to use in tandem with my "dumb trainer" during lockdown. The items arrived very quickly and were super easy to install. I've been using them for a month now and they have continued to be consistently accurate when providing rear wheel speed and crank cadence. One small tip is that you may need to position your Ant+ sensor where it is unobstructed by something like a table. A USB extension cable might be on your list if you're using a PC. For me on my phone, it works nicely. Super low budget zwifting!

Works!
Bought the other one and the speed didn't work, sent back and bought this one. The cadence is correct according to the indoor bike monitor but the speed isn't. Easily correctable by editing the distance by hand measured by the monitor and then the speed matches. I have the Garmin instinct 2 and it picked up both sensors in a second or in one spin of the wheel. Most important held the connection that the first one didn't. A great gadget makes me be able to use both indoor and 'normal' bike ride counters on my watch and transfer the data on Garmin connect and this one transfers the kcal on my calorie counter. I have put the speed sensor on the axis of the pedal which is the reason for the difference in distance from the bike's monitor

Good value speed measure with Garmin integration!
Good bit of kit, allows connectivity to the Garmin platform and captures speed and effort metrics. So far so good, but sometimes takes a little while to connect and upload. Pleased with it considering the price!

Work floorlessly
These hook up to my edge 840 every time with no issues. They seem to work accurately as far as I can tell. Cant fault this speed sensor and cadence sensor set.
