As a new archer, I figured I'd just pony up and buy something kind of mid range, well liked by others, and see what difference it made compared to the phallic looking stub that came with my bow. I do prefer the additional weight out front that helps the bow to drop forwards after the shot is made. Alternatively, the bow would return towards me from the top side. The rubber dish seems to add quite a bit of weight but as I said, it feels good in hand. I've not gotten a quiver mounted yet as I'm returning an ill fitting 2 piece unit to exchange for a tight spot. I'll edit this review with my thoughts after loading that up and testing the weight distribution theory of this product As I was told, it all seems to come down to personal preference and what you're comfortable with. This is quite a bit heavier than other stabs it seems, but I'm getting comfortable with it and it feels good in hand. I wanted a 12" stab to stay in hunter class, and this one measures just under 12" even with the quick disconnect. The dish design puts all the weight out front, creating a steadier hold on the target.
