SanDisk SDSDB-256-A10 256 MB Secure Digital Card (Retail Package)

I bought this card for my KODAK CX6330 3.1MP digital camera. On this camera, at best resolution, I can take 306 pictures and/or 16 minutes of video. After a lot of use, it hasn't failed or gave me any problems. In fact, it's at least 3x faster than the internal memory when taking, deleting and viewing/thumbing through pictures. Video taking is very nice and fast as well, no problems there, it looks great when watched on TV with friends/family. Approximate download times through cable provided with my camera are about 3 minutes for 50megs of data. Mine is manufactured in China. I would recommend it for use in digital cameras. I'm considering buying another card of 256 or 512meg for making longer videos and to have even more shots when on vacation.

I ordered this SD Memory Card through Amazon from Portable Guy. I own an older Samsung Digital Camera (only 3.2MP)and the instructions state that it would hold "up-to" 256MB SD Card. When my order arrived, I found that Portable Guy had sent me a 512MB Card. I was doubtful that my camera would accept it. To my suprise, it worked fine. I had sent a seller feedback stating that they had got the order wrong, and they quickly and efficiently called me to rectify the situation. Since I was getting MORE memory for the price, I opted to retain the SD Card. I have to report that Amazon does buisness with very reputable companies, and I would order from Portable Guy now without hesitation!!

I have a Kodak DX4330 and atBest quality 3.1MP, this gives me 203 pictures,Better quality gives me 366 picturesGood quality gives me 740 picturesOther cameras due to compression and quality variations will be different.Just in case the other readers don't know, the MMC and SD card are the same format. The only difference is two things. The SD card is a little thicker (still seems to fit everywhere an MMC card does) and the SD card has an extra. It has a little slider that allows the user to keep from accidentally deleting or changing items on a card. This also keeps you from taking pictures on the card if you forget to switch it back. But then most cameras or other devices should remind you of this.The SD aspect to this MMC card also allows me to ensure the safety of my untransferred pictures as well. If I'm passing around my camera at a family gathering, first I slide the securing switch to the "lock" position to be sure no pictures can be deleted. Then I can be sure no one can accidentally delete my pictures. Unless others are aware of this feature, they would find it difficult to delete them unless they knew about this.The only tough thing about doing this, is remembering to slide the switch back off before I take new pictures. But then my Kodak camera would remind me to do this anyway, if I was not in Review.Great card, excellent value.

good reliability

No, as amazon states your not saving $100 on this item, the price listed is a normal price for this size card. I bought this card only 1 year ago, and at that time it was twice as much money as it is now, therefore these memory cards get cheaper and cheaper, So if your not in a rush I would reccomend waiting a little longer, in any case you should always buy the largest card you can afford, as for this card itself it is extremely reliable and quality made, it has not once failed me, I use it mainly in my digital camera however I have used it in a cell phone, to tranfer pics taken with the cell to the computer. Great value, great price, great quality as Sandisk always is.

My memory card corrupted after working wonderfully for a few weeks. My research into the cause provided me with the opportunity to buy recovery software but not much more in the way of help. My camera's manufacturer's website also gave insight into the problem, which leads me to believe that this is not an unusual occurance. Very frustrating!! Apparently it was caused by the way I handled my camera, unbenonst to me. My family has, however, used this same brand of disk without any problems. I have been using it in a 4MP Kodak camera.

I had a 16 year old Lowrance map/locator. A real dinosaur. Last fall the "hockey puck" satellite receptor failed. Found a replacement, but barely. Transferring all my Hotspots would have been impossible with a newer much higher capacity chip. I tried. Had to be an old tiny capacity chip. This one was old, but brand new. PERFECT

You can just read my bottom line, or my entire story below that.Bottom line - spend your money with a company that has an infrastructure. If Sandisk can't even handle RMA's, how competent are they to manufacture high end flash memory components?I purchased the card as a last minute Christmas gift ... - way to go Amazon!Card was supposed to come formatted, wasn't. Wouldn't format in any of the 4 devices I tried it in, then Windows format from a command line said there was a bad sector.After a week of trading emails with Sandisk (try this, try that, did it all already) they said the RMA dept would contact me....in 5-10 business days. It took 12. Guess that says something about their product quality, doesn't it? 12 Business days just to get an RMA number so I could send them the card back on MY NICKEL. They've had the package for a full week now, no word on whether my new card has even been SHIPPED.A full month later, and all I can say is I've spent my [$$] rebate (which I have not gotten yet, wonder if I will) on shipping their faulty product back to them. Had I not already sent the rebate in, I probably would've just tried to return the item through Amazon, because I don't blame them...but I would've liked to test their return policy, because experiences like this really make you think about purchasing electronics online. Either way, Sandisk will no longer be a product consideration for me, even if someday I have a wonderful working SD card...the customer service is too bad.My Viking 256MB CF card rocks, though - also bought through Amazon...with no problems whatsoever with very regular usage.
