Love it and so does my son
My son loves this book! It's not a lot of complex stuff. Simple things to do that is definitely interesting to an 8 year old. Gets them engaged in something other than video games.

Most items needed are found already in your home so no need shopping for anything fancy. Experiments include easy to follow instructions, what you will need, time you will need, what you will learn, illustrations, bonus/extended experiment to try, discussion question, and the science behind it all. My daughters are 3 & 8 and love working together on TheDadLab experiments. They can be easily adjusted to any age and really bring the family together for a fun time.

Amazing!
Amazing! I have bought tons of science books and this is my far and away the best one! The experiments have simple steps, they are well explained. At the end of each experiment there is a kid friendly explanation of why the experiment works!

Super fun ideas for experiments
I got this book for my five year old to do fun things with his dad but now we are all doing the experiments. It is so satisfying to watch your kid learning about things in such a fun way. Most kids are inquisitive by nature and this helps to satisfy that in them while you are all having a good time. Some of the experiments do get messy, but that just adds to fun in my kid's eyes. Highly recommend this for a Father's day gift or just for an activity idea book for the long summer days!

Beware - lots of fun ahead!
We love this! It was a gift for my son and his son - it's filled with great, kid-friendly, STEM activities. Some projects are messy - which the 5yo loves! All are clearly explained and can be done with just a bit of planning and with everyday materials.

Bijna identiek aan het andere boek van the dad lab.
Teleurgesteld, we hebben het samen besteld met het andere boek van the dad lab, maar het zijn echt PRECIES dezelfde experimenten. De gele versie is met mooie foto's van elke stap, de oranje versie is een duidelijke beschrijving maar niet stap voor stap foto's. Er staan een paar extra experimenten in, maar voor de rest dus precies dezelfde. Zeker niet waard om allebei te kopen. Daarom ook het lage aantal sterren, het boek op zichzelf is zeker wel meer sterren waard.

Il sottotitolo di questo libro recita "50 Awesome Science Projects for Parents and Kids". Non posso garantire sulla meraviglia che può spuntare da questi esperimenti, ma posso garantire che sono divertenti da farsi, a seconda naturalmente dell'età dei bambini: ce ne sono per chi fa ancora l'asilo e per chi ha finito le elementari. Ci sono alcune ripetizioni nella parte scientifica dietro agli esperimenti, e la cosa è comprensibile. Ho però trovato molto utili le spiegazioni reali degli effetti (un paio non le conoscevo mica!), che poi ogni genitore dovrà adattare alle conoscenze dei propri figli; anche gli esperimenti correlati sono utili per suscitare curiosità. In definitiva, un ottimo libro "pratico".
