50 Most Loved Christmas Carols

I enjoy the traditional Christmas carols sung traditionally. I like it that many carols are included.

I wanted to write a review to say the CD is actually excellent with many different songs from the usual Christmas CDs out there. Two disks are vocal for traditional Christmas music and one disk is instrumental with beautiful strings. I read many of the other people's negative reviews before I purchased the CD. Many people wrote the vocals are not good on this compilation. I totally disagree. They sound fine!!! I'm glad I took a chance on the CD as I think it's a great addition in my Christmas CD collection. I like to have variety as long as they are still traditional Christmas sound.

All I can say about this MUST HAVE IN ANY HOLIDAY COLLECTION .... just beautiful! This CD set encompasses every song, every aspect of the most beloved, time honored, traditional or not, season of thwe year. Every Christmas Carol you have ever heard, plus more ... you will hear! Hours of pure, happy enjoyment. This CD will truly bring into your homw the Real Meaning Of Christmas! Buy it!!! This Seller is the BEST and products are GREAT!

It would have been better to listen to soundtracks before ordering. It did not work well for church music.

These are some of the most beautiful renditions of the traditional carols, capturing the spirit of a time of greater purity, joy, celebration, simplicity, strength and magic. Nearly every piece captures the deep, timeless, universal spirituality of a child's Christmas in the 40's and 50's. I bought this set for all our family. Something very special is here and I hope is preserved for generations to come.

A great selection and I like the arrangements, as they were more of the vintage type instead of the modern hi tech music. One review said they did not like it because it was not the more modern type (said in so many words). More traditional and what I remember in my younger years. Two discs of vocals and one disc of instrumentals. I have Accu Radio on my computer and from a Christmas channel I listen to a song from this album came up and I loved it. That is how I found the album to order. I am glad I did. If you like beautiful and pretty Christmas music, you will like this. It is also suitable as background for a dinner or gathering as well. I recommend this.

Nice collection of Christmas carols.... I was looking for a CD of choral music carols to listen to with my 2 and 4 year old in the car. I sang in a choir for years and had the privilege of singing many different Christmas songs over the years...many of which are not your "normal" Carols and are hard to find. I was glad that this CD not only had your usual and expected Christmas Carols but also many others.....The Sussex Carol, Pat-a-Pan, etc. I wouldn't say the recordings are on the same quality level as the Robert Shaw Chorale or Cambridge Singers, etc but it's still a good CD with beautiful music.

This is a collection of the best Christmas music I have ever found. Despite other comments to the contrary, the choral voices are wonderful. This is understated music that transports you to childhood memories of a more gentle time. You will recognize so many of the melodies from centuries old music. I hope you will take the time to listen to excerpts of the songs. That will convince you better than any review might.

Der Titel ist nicht irreführend. Er stimmt. Alle Arrangements und musikalische Darbietungen sind hervorragend. Immer mit vollem Orchester begleitet jedoch nie poppig, süßlich, erschlagend oder aufdringlich. Immer fröhlich und heiter. Der Chor und das Orchester sind mit vollem Herzen dabei, dass hört man. Auf der dritten CD sind die allerbekanntesten Lieder rein musikalisch dargeboten, so dass man die Lieder selber dazu singen kann, denn die Texte hierzu sind vollständig, in Englisch, im booklet abgedruckt. Sehr empfehlenswert.
