No need for Great Stuff when you’ve got Cold Tape.
This is a great product. Yes- the adhesive is hardcore stuff, so make sure you open the shrinkwrap in a well-ventilated room. Yes- the adhesive will lift paint off of wood and leaves residue behind. But once contact is made, this tape will not release and I believe in the claim that it will adhere in temperatures as low as minus ten degrees farenheit. This is is a must have for sealing up window air conditioners to keep bugs, smog and hot air from coming in the gaps. Great Stuff is all that- but this is Cold Tape.

More adhesive, and it would be 5 stars
Not real sticky, but other than that it’s great tape. It’s very thick, strong, and hard to tear. If the water doesn’t get to the glue part it would be very waterproof. It just needs more adhesive to be five stars. It kind of has enough adhesive that you would find on the average masking tape that is not designed for mail packaging. Hope this review helps.

Didn't stick well
It didn't stick to the dry wall. Stuck better to the tile on the wall in the bathroom I had to use gorilla glue for the drywall areas. The wall was dry and clean. I also used my blow dryer as seen in one of their videos.

Cypress texas and drafty window frames
Perfect for window frames in cypress texas. Keeps the draft out when window frames shrink in the cold.

Needs more glue
Nice thick tape but doesn't stick well to painted surfaces.

Works great taped on inside of jalousie windows
We are renting an old house in FL, and we have a Florida room that's jalousie windows on two sides. As a result, that room gets pretty hot from the outside air seeping in between the cracks. This tape seemed like an inexpensive way to solve that issue. It wound up working pretty good. Obviously, it took a while and two rolls to complete the job. But that was expected and we're happy with the results (our electric bill is happy too!). The only downside is that the tape does block the view somewhat. But it's a trade-off for not having a $500 electric bill. I taped up our windows in June. It's nearly October, and none of the tape has peeled off or showing any signs that it might. I SHOULD note that I taped up the inside of our windows and not the outside. So I'm sure this helps with the longevity. But we've been through a couple tropical storms this year, nearly dodging a couple hurricanes by the grace of God. I honestly thought some strips might eventually weaken if some rain seeped in with the strong winds.... Nope, still holding strong four months later. I'll likely peel this off when the much-anticipated cold air returns. But I'll definitely be buying a couple rolls again next year. And I recommend it to anyone with a similar use-case. I hope this helps someone out there. PEACE!

Really works!
I have been using this tape to seal my windows and a/c for years. Actually annually. Works at winter season perfectly. Easy of use, durable and looks nicely. Protects apartment from cold strong wind.

A trouble crack took a bit of layering. It was plenty wide, but the elements made for a more difficult seal. Once it got stuck, it was good.

nice and wide to provide a good seal on a sliding window. no more cold air when the wind howls at my house.

Using this to block large gaps around an almost inaccessible door that weather stripping was too narrow to seal. Works great! Just sometimes it unsticks in places and I have to reattach to add extra tape to block draft. Would buy again!

Garbage. Doesn't stick to cement.

I used this tape to seal the seams of an indoor greenhouse. It works well for that purpose, and it's clear so that's nice too. The adhesive is very weak and will come off if you're trying to attach two things together. So it would work for something like sealing a crack in a window or a hole in a wall, but it would not work to hold something in place.
