Valvoline Multi-Vehicle High Temperature Red Grease 14.1 OZ Cartridge

When the front door hinge started squeaking like crazy, I grabbed this Valvoline red grease for the house and the cars. I load it into a small grease gun and hit the hinges, garage door rollers, and the kids’ wagon wheels. The squeak stops right away and stays gone. I like that it hangs on instead of dripping everywhere. The tube is clean to store so my wife does not complain about a greasy mess in the cabinet. My son helped me grease his bike pedals last weekend and he thought the bright red color was cool. That silly moment made me glad I bought this.

This is an NLGI Grade 2 lithium grease from a reputable brand. It’s the most basic kind. Its function falls somewhere between snake oil and blood of the Savior. The tube fits nicely inside a grease gun. I squirted into some ball joints on my car. If you are here for a Ford X1-G-E1 equivalent, that is fortified with a little bit of moly. So the light blue or gray tube Valvoline moly-fortified grease would be more comparable.

Perfect for cars, lawn care, and other uses

This Valvoline red grease has been way more useful than i expected. I grabbed it for my little home “office plus workshop” space because my office chair kept squeaking and the sliding drawer rails in my supply cabinet felt rough. The cartridge fits my basic grease gun without any drama and it doesnt ooze everywhere like some cheaper ones. I use it on my office chair wheels, the garage door hinges, and even the lawn mower. One Saturday I hit every squeak in the house and my husband joked it was too quiet. The high temp part is nice for the mower and our hot garage, nothing melts or runs.
