Is this too big for carrying in the pocket? My daughter is looking for a knife for her stepdad but it looks big

I carry it fairly often... But I'm 5'10", 230 lbs. I prefer bigger knives for pocket knives because I have bigger hands. It's a great knife. Takes a little. It of time to get used to the thumb disk instead of a thumb stud, but it's a great knife.

Is any type of metal inside the platic handle holding the blade, or is just plastic like the buck bantam knifes?

There are, in fact, liners inside the scales. But it does have the typical white plastic washers between the liners and the blade like on most lower end knives. It really is a good knife though. It's one of my favorite knives.

one of the screws holding the belt clip has fallen out. my local hardware store had nothing that matched. where can i get a replacement screw?

I supposed you could technically sharpen both sides of any kife... It seems like it would be problematic for a folder.
