CorningWare Meal Mug with Vented Lid for Steam, 20-Oz Stoneware Soup Mug, BPA-Free Lid, Microwave, Freezer, and Dishwasher Safe Mug with Lid, Blueberry

Nothing not to like. It was a gift, I’ll be purchasing one for myself.

GREAT for soup! It holds a whole can of Progresso soup. Perfect size, it is a well made, heavy mug. A little pricey if you need to buy more than one, but I think it is money well spent.

Cooking & serving food in the same mug is really convenient. The lovely colours add to the fun factor! Cleaning up is so easy as all it takes is a quick soak. Bought a few more already!

The quality is obviously CorningWare! The walls are nice and thick, the handle is easy to grasp and feels good in your hands. The finish of the product is exemplary. This product heats easily in the microwave with the handle staying cool to touch, the lid is an added bonus to help stop spattering. It also retains its heat very well. I am impressed with the size as it holds an entire can of soup, with room for crackers at the top! I have bought two. I find them so easy to use and to clean. I plan to buy more. The only downside that I have found so far, is that the plastic lid does stain. I realize that all plastic does stain, so it is really only a small disturbance. I heated tomato rice soup in the container with the lid on, in the microwave and it is now stained red. This is no big deal! It works just as wonderfully so I will not even mark off a star for something this small. I really just love them!

If you are into making mug meals this 20-ounce size is perfect. I find it easier to mix up ingredients in this larger mug as compared to a 12 or 16-ounce mug which is too small for some recipes as they boil over. I'm using this with the 250 Best Meals in a Mug: Delicious Homemade Microwave Meals in Minutes cookbook and it has worked out well. I have just one mug but I'm thinking about buying another one soon. The reason is because if you make a mug meal daily you may have one mug in the dishwasher. Unless you don't mind washing by hand which I've done. Just some recipes call for cheese or eggs and that cleans up better in the dishwasher. One thing to remember when taking this mug out of the microwave is to just touch the handle of this mug. The actual body of the mug can get a little hot. But otherwise I'm very happy with this and will use two mugs at a time once I get another one. By this I mean if I'm making a dessert right after a dinner I don't have to wash the mug in between. ~The Rebecca Review
