DII Basic Terry Collection 100% Cotton Quilted, Oven Mitt, Eggplant, 2 Piece

I bought these again because they are 100% cotton and I like them they’re nice and thick. The color is wonderful. I love the color and they’re not quite as long as my old ones but I like them better because they are a little bit shorter and I’ve already washed them and they came out perfect

These mitts are very thick and well padded, and they have that silver fabric inside for extra protection. The stitching is secure and after a lot of use they have not frayed or gotten thin. I like that they’re long enough to cover my lower forearms because I have gotten burned on my wrists in the past while using shorter mitts. You need long mitts like these if, like me, you bake stuff using two oven racks and fail to learn the lesson that 90% of the time you will burn yourself if you try to get the cookie tray out of the lower rack without sliding the rack out. To be honest, I chose these mitts mostly because they are purple and it’s hard to find purple kitchen stuff. I really didn’t expect much other than purpleness. It was a good decision though because they’ve turned out to be exactly what I needed and I was pleasantly surprised by their great quality. I highly recommend these, especially for people like me, for whom enthusiasm for cookies sometimes outstrips good judgment. Five stars.

Nice and Thick and Comfortable! Excellent Quality!

I love these gloves. My only issue, and why I took 1 star off, is they are huge. I saw a lot of reviews about how big they were, and my husband has big hands, so I thought it would be perfect for our kitchen (I tend to burn myself a lot so my husband pulls things out of the oven for me). They are big enough for his hands, which is nice; however they are super thick. It's hard to get a grip on some of the pans because of how thick the gloves are. The couple of times I have pulled things out myself, I have a very hard time getting a grip; and if I'm making cupcakes or something I tend to stick the glove right in them :-( The trick that I've found is to use both gloves and pull things out with 2 hands instead of 1. However, that being said, I have yet to burn myself. We have had so many gloves and potholders over the years that get super hot and tend to burn your hands if you hold the pan too long (and sometimes too long is going straight from oven to trivet in 10 seconds). I do not have that problem with these. So, I have to say that I love them. I can find ways around how thick they are; but that thickness means I'm not going to burn my hand or drop my food, I'm happy.

I have bought these terry cloth oven mitts now 3 times in different colors and I love them. I am messy and once they get dirty I throw them out and get new ones. They are reasonably priced so it's easy to do. They have lasted me about a year and a half each. They will wash but are never the same. They get kind of out of wack. Possibly if you laid them flat to dry they would turn out ok. They are well worth the money. They are thick and comfortable and so the job of keeping your hands safe from heat. They are lightweight and unabteusive, making them easy to use. Simple, great colors, easily perfect for a gift to match someone's fun kitchen colors. Well made and very soft.

These are the very best oven mitts. They are wide which my husband appreciates for his big hands and they have great colours for anyone's decor.

I purchased these inexpensive oven mitts after reading all the reviews of similar products with 4.5 STAR and over ratings because even the very expensive mitts had issues according to purchasers and these are no different. I'm a 6 ft man with 3.75" wide palms and these fit pretty loose on me. These mitts are well suited for removing a turkey from the oven using both hands, but very poor for trying to hold a cookie sheet with one hand. These mitts have extra insulation inside, so probably best suited for BIG HOT HEAVY items for Men and Amazon Women.

Pleasantly surprised with these oven mitts. Seemingly durable so they should be able to use for quite awhile. These color is just as pictured and the terry material is thick so heat resistance should be good. So, so the overall opinion of these mitts is great. Highly recommending this purchase.

I cannot imagine a product design can go so wrong! This is huge, not designed for human, unless you don't have wrist and your hand is as straight as those of an elephant. Mitten is for you to hold something while wearing it. No matter how good the material quality, if you can't grip anything while wearing it, it is just useless. I waited some time for this item, I should have just get a better, cheaper one from Ikea.

it doesnt work as a mitten as the heat just passes through...but i like the design- convenient to hold things if they are not very hot

I love them. The mitts are nice and roomy for a larger hand but not too large for my small hand to use them with ease. They are very thick and extremely good at stopping all heat from coming through. The terry is of excellent quality, a nice tight loop. I bought the grey and it is a very nice rich cool grey. I have washed mine in the washing machine and put them in the dryer and they came out fine. Excellent buy!

1) this is made with very cheap materials. You will feel the heat searing your hand whenever you pick up a baking dish or a baking tray. Is it better than using a cloth? Yes, sure, but not by much 2) the hand design is... strange. The thumb space is impossibly small while the hand area is designed with a giant in mind. Gripping anything using your thumb is a challenge. Think of it more as a square heat pad than a glove. Also, did I mention that it doesn't insulate against heat at all?
