No glue or paint so extra expense. I couldn't find it in the description where it said it wasn't included. Brought this for my 84 year old father to do during lockdown and not got to find glue and paint

I found that some of the sprue gates impinged on the parts being modelled. This made removal of some small parts from the sprue rather tricky.

Bought this and wish I’d looked harder as it doesn’t come with glue or paints and seeing as it wasn’t cheap in a bit annoyed the paints and glue isn’t expensive but would’ve been nice to have some In there. Am quite disappointed about this. Other than that it’s really easy to build and looks good. Am on the whole happy with this purchase

Nice kit from a new moulding tool, assembled with no issues. The fit was practically perfect with only a few small sections requiring filler. Overall very happy, so much so that I’ve ordered the Lancaster too.

Other half loved it! Very detailed! Probably not great for a complete beginner to model building! I didn’t realise there’s no paints in this kit though!

Bought in the sale, now added to the stash!

This is a new model to the range and only recently released. It arrived quickly and well packed. I have so far only looked at the build instruction and it looks good. Model comes with a choice of two colour schemes.

WWⅡ戦闘機の中でもキットに恵まれているスピットファイアですが、グリフォンエンジン型となると数は少なく、このスケールのMk.ⅩⅣとしては約25年前のアカデミー以来のキット化です。 Mk.ⅩⅣは1943年10月から1945年10月までに計957機が生産された、グリフォンエンジン型の最多量産型で、その内430機がコクピット後方に偵察カメラを装備した戦闘偵察機型として完成しており、このキットでも戦闘偵察機型を再現しています。 さすが実機の母国で開発されただけあってよく出来ており、プロポーションは良好で、アカデミーでは不満のあった機首やプロペラの形状も良い感じです。 コクピットも良く出来ており、付属のパイロットを乗せない場合はシートベルトを追加するとより良くなるでしょう。 コクピットの組み立ては特に問題なく、胴体への収まりも良好で、コクピット後方のF24偵察カメラもしっかり再現されています。 キャノピーは開閉選択式で、閉状態の場合は胴体側を少し削る必要がありますが、キャノピーと胴体の合いは良好です。 脚も着陸状態と飛行状態を選択できます。 作るマーキングによって取り付けるパーツが違ったり、垂直尾翼を削る必要があったりするので注意しましょう。 先にリリースされたデファイアントと比較するとパーツ精度は少し甘く、特に主翼と胴体の合いはイマイチで若干の隙間が発生します。 他にも僅かな隙間や段差の生じる箇所があるので、多少パテのお世話になる必要がありますが、完成させるのが困難な程には組み立ては難しくありません。 デカールは上質なカルトグラフ製で、マーキングは戦中のNo.414スコードロン(カナダ空軍)と、戦後のNo.2スコードロンの二種が付属します。 完成後のイメージはとても良く、スピットファイアフリークなら必作のキットでしょう。 主翼裏にロケット弾取り付け用の隠し穴があったり、不要パーツもあるのでバリエーションキットの登場は間違いなく、これからの展開が楽しみなキットです。

This kit is more detailed and accurate in appearance than that of the equivalent Academy offering. Instructions included are clear and well laid out. Have it on the bench as the next project. Sprues are flash free with high quality styrene plastic that has little presence of ejector pin marks. Any blemishes from ejector pin marks are only in area unaffected and hidden in the build process.

I like AirFX products. Most parts fit properly, and the detail is generally pretty good. Get it on sale, then it's worth it. This is a week project for me, as I spend time painting for details. Want it to look like it's right from WWII. Good stuff. Recommended.
