OK for Linux
Works well with Arch Linux once an rtl8812 driver is installed from AUR. AC connections stable and fast.

Does not work with Mac OSX10.14
Item did not respond at all when it was installed through USB. Mac did not respond to the item either. Comes with a CD, my Mac doesnt have a CD drive. They dont seem to have a website to download the drivers. Eventually I found an old pc to use to download the drivers from the CD. After installing the Mac OSX10.8 drivers, the application that was installed did not run. The uninstaller ran fine though. So, overall, its a piece of junk. Returning...

Five Stars
Easy to configure and use, no driver installation required for Windows 10 and Debian Linux.

Wrong USB version
Wifi USB adapter announced (and labeled) as a USB 3.x device but in reality it is a USB 2.x device. Since my driver is USB3.x only I cannot use it. So I have a fairly nice looking paperweight. On the good side it was not that expensive, and the return fee would probably be high enough that it does not make sense to return it. :-(

Muy buen producto, alto alcance, compatible con Kali

Didn't need this but I figured for the price...why the hell not! Plus with all the people complaining that it doesn't work w/ Kali...I figured it would be a nice little challenge. Verdict: works just fine. didn't really get to test it for a long period but after installing the proper drivers, I was able to switch over to monitor mode no problem. Wish I read the Q/A before installing the drivers.....tells you exactly where to find the drivers! Good value for $$$! APPROVED!

Like others who have bought this product, I bought it specifically to use in Kali Linux for monitor mode. Unlike most of the others it seems, I have gotten it to connect and have turned it onto monitor mode. However, the connection just to be picked up my my virtual machine is very inconsistent and often takes several tries. Additionally, it is inconsistent when trying to use it in Kali. I am not sure if it is just a user error, and it is possible to get this adapter to work without a hitch for that purpose, though it seems many are having the same problem with ease of use. However, it is an awesome adapter just for normal wifi, so if those are your intentions for it, then 5/5 stars. If you are looking to use it in Kali or something of the sort, then it is acceptable (so far) if you are willing to screw with it and deal the inconsistent connection to get it set up to your vm. The reason it would be acceptable is because it is much cheaper than the name brand alternatives which are 3-4x the price.

I bought this specifically for Kali Linux and to use it in monitor mode. It did not work with Kali even after downloading drivers, monitor mode could not be activated. I tried CentOS 6.10 and again monitor mode was not available, just normal wifi. I ended up getting another adapter that worked. This adapter could be great for just normal wifi connectivity though.

March 2019, used with Linux kernel 4.19.0 I used the aircrack-ng 8812au driver from github to add rtl8812au support on my Slackware Linux distro. I did not get this for use with Kali but I did use it in a Kali VM under Qemu to see what all the fuss was about. I had to dumb down my AP to complete the WEP howto but it does monitor and inject etc. IMneverHO this was well worth the $20.99 invested.
