I recently upgraded to a rain shower head in my bathroom, but as I learned after installing it, my shower head supply pipe is quite low, so the rain shower head was at nose level when I was standing in the tub, or had to be up vertically to be used, which kindof defeats the purpose. In researching how to best raise the level of my showerhead without actually having to do any major plumbing work, it was suggested I just get another adjustable arm (the rainshower head came with one). I was concerned about its ability to hold up the weight of the rainshower when extended and had nightmares of getting one, installing it, then having the weight of the rainshower constantly pulling it down with gravity...or worse. Thankfully this has worked perfectly! I used this to connect the rainshower arm and the shower wall pipe, so it stands pretty much perpendicular to the floor, then the adjustable rainshower arm is parallel to the floor. While there was a small water leak at one of the adjustable joints when I first installed it, a minor adjustment and some tightening of the joint and now it is perfect! And best part is I can stand UNDER my rain shower head now! It is very sturdy, and the joints hold with no questions when tightened. The adjustments aren't smooth-it seems there are set points/degrees that it can be secured at, which I think actually helps hold it up all the better. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to take a chance on this arm because it is perfect for what I need.

This shower rod came as part of a bundled NearMoon package that included the 8” heavy duty, solid stainless steel rain shower head, separate filter, and handheld shower head. Given how much height the two items would take up, this is definitely a needed part for the guest bath. The shower arm out from the wall is a mere 3” that is already set too low, and not optimum conditions for a rain shower head with a separate filter. Simply put, adding the shower head and filter (~ 6”) without an extender arm would have me showering against the wall and practically crouching down. The other less desirable option would be to replace the shower arm coming out from the wall and that ain’t happening. Thankfully, the 11” shower arm extension was included in the bundle and why it made this deal appealing. The rod itself is easy to install (once the old head was removed), and plumbers’ tape was included to ensure a snug, no leak fit.. You can adjust the arm vertically to different heights and angles until you find that ‘sweet spot’ then tighten the wingnuts to lock it in place. The rod is adequate and appears solidly built. It is solid brass and comes in 4 different flavors to fit your current bathroom décor. It will definitely hold sturdy the 8” heavy duty, solid stainless steel shower head AND separate filter at your desired height, with the 3-way diverter connected to your hand shower head. It’s been a few weeks now, with no change in water pressure, no drips or leaks, and no slippage requiring the arm to be readjusted or tightened. I couldn't be happier with this part of the bundle! 5 Stars! FYI: Yes, the diverter is being used on the non-filter end since the hand shower head is only used for watering plants and it saves me the trouble of constantly needing a ladder to make the switch due to rain head height.

I got this because my fun new rainfall and handheld showerhead sat way too close to the wall for comfort. I figured putting this on would give me the room I need (and it does), but installing it took FOREVER. THe end that attaches to the showerbar was very shallow, and that made it difficult to get it to stay on the shower bar. After 15 mins or more of attempting, I finally put the diverter piece from the showerhead back onto the shower bar, then attached the rod to that. That worked, but it took quite a lot cajoling to get everything screwed in (part of which could be that it's freaking high and over an oversized tub, meaning I had to balance and perch and reach over my head to get things attached). So while it SHOULD be simple and quick, it may not be. The product itself works fine once installed, and it seems to be holding up okay (but it's only been 24 hours). As long as the joints remain taunt and hold the showerhead in place, the rating will remain four stars.

I bought this extension arm because I added a water filter to the shower head which dropped the shower head 4-5”. This raised the shower head about 5 inches higher in both showers. I like that better since we are a taller family. Of course, you can adjust the height that is right for you with the winged screw on the side of the extension arm. It would work well for a rain shower head as well. There are fancy shower arms out there, but this suited my need. I don’t have showroom bathroom's just functioning ones. They are affordable. Since just installing them, I don’t know if they will have leaks or other problems, but I will post again if anything arises. I like that there are a few color options. They come ready to install with 2 gaskets, plumbers tape, and a wrench if you need one. I hand tightened mine and no leaks. Even with my water filter in place it has good water flow…no loss of water pressure. I’m ready to enjoy!

Great little fella. Comes with thread tape and a small wrench. Was nice to find one of these that isn't a foot long or more!

The part that screws to your fixture coming out of your wall is "fixed to the extension part", So wherever it ends up being tightened, by some miracle, hope it'll be straight because if it's crooked, that's where it has to stay. The first time seemed to work okay, but it was dripping a little bit, so when I took it apart to add more tape and fix the washer it came with, that was slightly too big, it wouldn't align correctly after. When I forced it to go just a little bit more, my fixture from the wall broke. Now I need a plumber to come Out! Granted, my part breaking is my part, very bad design of connecting to home extention! Just bad design! Thanks 😭

I purchased this so I could put a rain shower head in my apartment shower. This product serves its purpose and fits, but I found it very tricky to install and orient properly while snug. I wish there was a way to rotate this 360 degrees while installed, either where it attaches to the wall or where the shower head attaches.

This shower arm is a simple, affordable upgrade. Easy to install, adjustable for height and angle, and sturdy overall. Easy Installation. 10 minutes tops. Adjustable. Customizable showerhead positioning. Limited Rotation Doesn’t rotate 360°. Plastic Coupling. Would prefer metal for durability. A great value for the price. Easy to install and adjust, just wish the coupling was more durable.

Superior quality Shower extension. Made in China but the QC is good. Good finish. A bit expensive because it is imported. This delivery took just four days. Probably held in stock from some previous order. Further attempts have a 3 week delivery. Worth the investment.
