I can't believe it! It works. Our Golden got sprayed 2 weeks ago, we did all the recommended steps (baking soda, dawn, hydrogen peroxide) made the paste, etc. Then used de-skunk shampoo, she was skunk free from the neck down, but nothing was working on her head, neck and face where she got sprayed. This bottle of skunk off just came and I sprayed some on a cloth and gently rubbed/applied to her head and neck and her nose, careful not to get any her eyes. I applied it twice within an hour, and YAY the smell is gone!!!! I used it on her collar, and it works. It's pricey, but SO worth it!!!!

My dog has been sprayed twice now. Each time it's in the middle of the night and each time she has crawled into bed with me right after it happened. I can't tell you how horrific this is. The smell was so bad I couldn't get it out fo my nostrils for DAYS and i had to wash everything in my house twice. I used this product on her the next day and honestly it works great compared to anything else I have tried. There was only a slight scent left between her eyes because I was afraid to wash there.

My dog was skunked after having dinner at an outdoor restaurant. We did the hydrogen peroxide recipe as per the vet and ordered a skunk shampoo, but my car...! Oh my ..PEEEE U!!! UGH!!! Obviously being away from home i had no choice but to transport her home in the car. Ugh..even with airing out the car it stank!!!!!!! I tried Nature's Miracle several times and left it open to air out and it still stank. Then I tried this. The first time I sprayed it down. (didn't saturate it) . It helped, but still stank, then I remembered what someone said about saturating it. So I went back and really sprayed it down really dowsing it . I gave it a very heavy spraying. This was the answer. Now , someone said something about the smell of this stuff.. So I have to say, it's not terrible smelling, but it's not really pleasant either. Someone else said it best. They said, it's better than the skunk smell, but not by any means beautiful smelling.. ...bottom line, I'd say of you've had an encounter with our smelly friend, get it. It works. But warning on the smell. Don't expect roses either. ( this is the reason for the 4 stars not 5)

This works!!! Multiple uses on my dogs who have sprayed several times and this cuts the oil, cuts the smell and does not burn like the home remedies have. Spray and keep spraying then use Skunk off shampoo. Easy and works!

This helped neutralize the smell but it did not eliminate it. It didn’t last but it did help. The smell is not offensive and dissipates pretty fast so I didn’t mind it. Unfortunately, the skunk smell still came back.

Did not work at all, unfortunately. Bought this after my dog took a direct hit right between the eyes and was hoping to use this instead of hydrogen peroxide. This seemed to "release" the skunk smell even worse than before - after letting it dry down and seeing no improvement, we made a paste with the hydrogen peroxide, dawn and baking soda to remove the "Skunk Off" and tamp down the smell from the original skunk blast. That has been the only thing that has seemed to work on my short-haired dog, but this product is not nearly as effective for furniture as other products I tried (like R86 for laundry and porous items or furniture).

Our dogs were sprayed by a skunk and we were unable to adequately clean their heads and faces. This spray was safe for their eyes and noticeably improved the smell.

Our dog got sprayed in the face, i rubbed it all on her face and back. It worked wonderfully! it smells great. It was easy to use and doesn't bother her at all. Super easy to clean.

Worked great. Highly recommend for use immediately after the dog gets sprayed. Great for use while walking the dog outdoors, especially if you have to drive home. Best for initial use/contact, as it covers the sprayed area very well, and addresses the skunk spray immediately on the top fur before it can migrate to the skin and soak in. Any areas where it touched the skin, it left a mild odor. Anywhere we could wash it off the fur, no smell. I sprayed the whole bottle immediately all over the dog. Then washed her with skunk shampoo twice. Once quickly outside, then again much more thoroughly inside. This seems to have gotten 98% of it.

Our dogs chased a skunk under our cabin and it sprayed right under our spare room. Dogs didn’t get hit directly so that wasn’t a huge problem. Big problem was the smell in the spare room. We could not step foot inside that room and had to close it off. Came back a week later with this product. The room still stunk but it was bearable. Used this product in the laundry with bedding and sprayed the mattress and floor down. There was an immediate difference. I wished I would have had this the week before when it happened. I also used a sprayer and sprayed under the cabin as best I could reach. By the time we were done there was only a very faint smell remaining, likely from the areas I couldn’t reach under the cabin. I will always have this product on hand just in case. We also ordered the shampoo in case the dogs get hit. I will never be without this.

For the first time in my 20 years of dog ownership, my dog got skunked at midnight during a potty break. He reeked of skunk! This product was pricy and I'm on a tight budget, so I wanted to try the hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dawn soap home remedy first. That did get majority of the skunk smell out, but whenever my dog got wet, I would randomly smell a faint smell of skunk. I would describe the odor as persistent. That's when I decided to buy this. I very generously sprayed his coat down and let it sit for 10 min before I thoroughly rinsed him out. Now the last of the skunk smell is gone. My dog's biothane collar also reeked of skunk and the at home remedy didn't work. I put his collar in a cleaned plastic take out container. Then I sprayed it down with skunk out and closed the lid. 2 days later, I opened it and the smell was gone. I just rinsed off her collar and it was good as new. I was afraid I was going to have to buy new biothane gear before I tried the skunk out.

Our dog got sprayed in our back yard. When she came back inside, she immediately started rubbing her face and head all over the carpet trying to get the stench off her. We bathed her immediately with her normal soap which helped but the smell remained. Carpets were really bad. I got Skunk Off delivered the next day and added it the carpet cleaner soap. It worked great! I also sprayed it on tile floors before steam cleaning. We used it on some bad spots on our dog (being careful to avoid eyes and mouth) and it really helped! Skunk Off has a strong "cleaner" smell but was not "skunky" as I've seen some reviewers state. We also used it in the washing machine for blankets and towels that were affected. A few days later, our house is 1000x better. I am really happy with this product.
