Purchased for my xbox one because I only have 500GB of storage and my friends like to hop around on different games. I hated having to uninstall/reinstall different games just to play with them. And that's not included my own games that I play alone, as well. Hooked it up to the xbox via the one of the usb ports on the back side and the xbox prompted me to format the harddrive for gaming use. Instantly started downloading all of my games and had no issues! I will say, at first I couldn't get the external harddrive to turn off when I would turn off my xbox. The secret is going to your system settings and selecting "turn off storage when xbox is off" and also going to the updates/downloads setting and turning off "auto update console" and "auto update games/apps". The auto updates/downloads options are directly linked to your games, which, if they're on your external harddrive, they need to be accessible, i.e. the harddrive needs to be on or on standby (the light will be on). After I finished the above-mentioned settings, I turned my xbox off (on standby, NOT hard shutdown). I noticed the harddrive light wasn't turning off so then I did a hard shutdown and I think that's when the settings really were executed. Now the harddrive stays off when xbox is off/on standby. It also does not overheat. It gets a little warm, which is expected, but never too hot to the touch or anything. I'm definitely happy with this purchase because it's made my "gaming life" a lot more convenient/efficient and I've already recommended it to my friends.

I had this for coupme months and works great! Really fast on my xbox one s. It was able to transfer not ultra fast speed but it was fast for me to not be impatient to wait. Thankful for the hard drive easy use and no issue with it yet!! If cant afford 4gb hard drive this good for those who cant afford more expensive hard drive!! Highly recommend for xbox or laptop. It sucks i had format it to xbox and can't longer use it laptop or computer but thst fine cause main purpose i bought was for my console

This is really easy to use. It's another drive on your computer under the: this PC section on your files. It gets plugged in with only a usb so it's easy to use and take with you as it could technically fit in your pocket.

I work primarily on a PC but also have a Macbook to handle some encoding tasks on the go and I needed an external drive that would allow me to pack up my desktop projects for work on the road. I know there are ways to format any drive to work across platforms but I was looking for something that worked out of the box. Upon opening the package I immediately saved an aftereffects file to it off of my desktop PC and was able to open it no problem on my Macbook. No software to install, no formatting required, just plug and play. I should also note the form factor is good, slim and nicely brushed plastic. Probably not something I'd want to throw across the room but looks nice and gets the job done. We'll see how long it holds up and I haven't tested transfer speeds on larger files yet but for now I can safely recommend it based on functionality and price point alone.

Alright so i had a buddy of mine get back on Xbox after not playing for a while. Before he got on again i only had the original Xbox one with 500gb. In today’s age realistically 500gb is really only 3-4 games maybe because you know games are 100gb each nowadays. Anyways it’s a super simple setup and actually has been running perfectly for about 2 weeks now. The hard drive itself is super “slim” in general and way more portable than i had ever expected. It’s legit 2/3rds the size of my iPhone 7+. Only a small gripe with the actual storage size, On my Xbox one it reads 1.8 TB fresh out of the box. But it’s still a great but regardless. I thought i was gonna use up more than 1TB but I’ve barely used more than 400gb of it (including my Xbox’s 500 GB, total 900gb). It has a very very slight rumble and let me say again it’s VERY SLIGHT you won’t notice it unless you live in a dungeon and play with no game audio in which case you should seek the outside world. I’ll include a photo of the games I’ve downloaded. I’m gonna be honest it’s great so far, looks clean and sleek and i would probably purchase again or recommend to someone if they really needed a recommendation! Check out the video i inserted in order to figure out how to turn off the external hard drive aswell to give your console some well deserved rest ! Takeaway: it’s easy to use, plug in and hides pretty much anywhere perfectly. It works in my Xbox one and stores literally any game you can imagine. Awesome product!

This pocket drive is super easy to use, quality made, has plenty of space in which to backup your files, and is lightening fast on retrieving and backing up files. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!

This is very straightforward. I needed something that I could use both at home and work interchangeably as I use Windows for work and Mac at home. This seemed like the solution. Got this in Jan. 2020, here we are in August 2020, no issues, works great. I am purchasing another at the max 5TB available as it only slightly over $100. No regrets, this is a perfect, low cost solution when using multiple OSes, no partitioning required.

I've used the Seagate before and I'm back for more. This show the high quality of the product. It works great and goes about the job quietly that you will forget you have it as a back up for your computer. I will recommend.

I have used an older Seagate drive to back up files etc,I purchased this bigger capacity one as I ran out of space in the other one. It is plug and play and was up and running within seconds of unboxing it.I have had no problems so far and if it is anything like my older one it should perform flawlessly. I would recommend it and would definitely buy another.
