Gangsters Patrick O'Brian aka Iron O'Brian Action Figure

I’m not sure why I’m reviewing these action figures as they have been out for about a decade so there probably are not many left in stock. As a matter of fact, Amazon was the only place I found any of the figures for sales. Probably the only reason the two are available here is they are not associated with any franchise – no TV series, movie, comic book or video game. I searched the internet for the boss, Giovanni Moncinni but with no luck. I’m sure he will turn up sometime on one of the auction sites.The detail on these two figures are unbelievable. Something you would expect on a $200 resin figure – not on a $10-$20 plastic action figure. I’d have to say the detail on Iron O’Brian is the better of the two. His face is just amazing, as are the muscles, veins and scares on his arms and hands. His pants, shoes and shirt looks like he just stepped off the docks. I will say the blood and dirt on him is a bit overdone. Frankie Sparks is a very iconic gangster with his pin stripped suit and patent leather shoes. He actually looks like my uncle with his cigarette hanging out of his mouth.Each character comes with a number of accessories. Iron O’Brian comes with two hats, a 38 revolver, iron pipe, wood hook and brass knuckles (I have mine posed with a hat and the last two items). Frankie Sparks comes with a leather slap stick, knife, 357 revolver, hat, cigarette and tommy gun (mine is posed with the last 3 items). The accessories I’ve tried fit very well (Iron O’Brian’s watch cap just sits on his head – doesn’t snap on like the second hat does). Neither figure is very articulate. Their heads and arms move. Frankie Sparks feet move – probably to make him more stable as his feet aren’t as big as Iron O’Brian’s.The back of the box they come in feature newspaper articles on the characters and inside each box there is a police rap sheet complete with finger prints and mug shots. If you are contemplating the purchase of these figures- even passively – I would urge you to do it very quickly because they may not be available much longer.

I had no idea the figure would be quite as big or detailed as this! Excellent condition, the price was very reasonable especially considering the quality. Inarguably its now one of the largest figures in my collection now and one of my favorites. The paint, the accessories, and the sculpting is all top notch, all the more so when the size is taken into consideration.

One of the most beloved figures in my collection what a value for the money!It's around 10" tall, durable, super detailed from head to toe, and comes with a lot of accessories, as previously mentioned by another reviewer I found this one to be the best in the Gangster Inc line.Maybe the only negative thing I can say about this figure is the lack of articulation points in the lower half.I Wish more companies would make figures this good with such a price tag.
