I think given the price this is a decent enough grill, it's real powerful heats up fast, having said that the knob is not useful as I use at max, anything below is just a waste of time a quick panini. I wish plates were removable as it would have been easier but somehow they work better when not removable maybe contact issues and again for this price it is acceptable. Plate quality good, coating is good, just packaging sucks as plates did grind a bit at transport to each other very slight chuff. No power switch, I use wall plug switch so that's fine either, cant justify spending 3x 4x on others basically doing a very simple job, so for being cost efficient it is good enough.

Powerful, Versatile, and Toastie Heaven! Absolutely love this sandwich press — it heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and the 2000W power gives a proper crunch to your toasties and paninis. Plenty of space for deep-fill sandwiches, and it handles burgers and veggies just as well. The adjustable temperature control is a great feature, and the fact it opens flat to double as a grill is a bonus I didn’t realise I needed! Non-stick coating makes cleaning up easy, and the drip tray catches the mess. Feels sturdy, looks smart on the counter, and has quickly become a daily-use bit of kit in my kitchen.

Well, this is about the most expensive one on Amazon, but you don't want to buy a cheapo one right? You want to buy one with all the premium features, like the one in the picture. You're only going to buy it once, so you want to buy the right one eh? Well, the first one simply never turned up. The next one sent did, but its not the on you see in these pictures. It might have the same model number but it now has no floating hinge (so your panini's are going to be squashed at one end, with the filling squeezed out of the other and unevenly cooked, and some of the metal bits you see on the photos have been replaced with cheaper plastic parts. Now, it still costs more than the competition, but has less features and quality than them. If you're going to update the design to save your costs, you MUST update the photos and description on Amazon, so that people can decide whether to buy the thing you're going to send them (and charge them for) or not. Shop elsewhere, and get what you've chosen, and what you've paid for!

I bought this toastie to replace a much smaller one and it is an absolute joy to use. Toasted sandwiches come out beautifully done with the filling cooked just right. It is easy to clean. I have yet to use it as an open griddle but have no reason to suppose this will be great too.

Not being a fussy cook I find this easy to use. I've only used it to cook a variety of pork chops and chicken breasts. They cook very quickly and I use a digital thermometer to ensure that they are thoroughly cooked. I use a piece of cooking foil folded in 2 and make a lip on 3 sides on the bottom half. I spray olive oil on the foil. When up to temperature I place the meat on the foil and carefully close the unit. I check the temperature and when O.K I remove the meat leaving the foil in situ. Turn off the unit and leave to cool. When the fat and juices solidify I throw the foil in the bin. Result, virtually no mess on the non stick surfaces. Used it for a couple of weeks and still looks like it did when I got it out of the box. I might start getting adventurous soon. The control of the temperature is something that you will have to experiment with. All in all I'm quite happy with the unit, as to longevity only time will tell. If I have any problem I will enter another review.

I’m returning this product because it’s made of poor-quality plastic. The plates aren’t reliable and aren’t removable, and there are black spots inside the bag, as if it was peeled off. Some parts are also damaged. Doesn't inspire confidence at all
