Really warm and comfy, but velcro closure is very annoying!
Another reviewer mentioned that this wetsuit is very tight and choke-y around the neck. It was originally a bit uncomfortable around my neck too, but after a couple wears it is totally comfy, not too tight, and it's still a tight seal keeping water out!Aside from the neck issue, I have no problems. I was out surfing in December with this bad boy and I'm toasty! Granted, I'm in southern California so the water isn't freezing, but anyway it works for me. Wrists and zipper in back are pretty locked down so I don't get a rush of cold water when I wipe out, like always happens with my old Rip Curl 3/2. I think this is because the arms are longer with this wetsuit than with my Rip Curl one, which is great because I have really long monkey-arms. The neoprene is soft and stretchy and pretty easy to get on and off.I also really like the key pocket thing on the back of the right calf. I like that it's on the outside but it has a little elastic band to secure the key. It's comfortable because it's not inside the suit pressing on you, and it's convenient and secure. There is ONE issue with this suit, though. The "rough" velcro closure around the neck doesn't have anywhere to stick to when the suit is not sealed up closed. So when you take it off or put it on or are trying to rinse it out, 9 times out of ten, the "sticky" part of the velcro attaches to somewhere on the neoprene inside and it TEARS it. This could have EASILY been fixed by adding a small section of the "fuzzy" velcro on the tab closure, so you could fold the sticky velcro onto it so it's not exposed and able to tear and pill the neoprene. It's really frickin' annoying that I feel like this otherwise awesome suit is getting ruined because of the velcro sticking everywhere!

Great fitting wetsuit
This is my second O'Neil wetsuit for winter ocean swimming in San Diego. The fit is great and well made.

New neck sucks
I ordered this wetsuit after my last one was stolen (last years model). I loved that suit, very comfy. So I expected the same when I ordered the new epic...while it's still comfortable as far as the stretch, etc, the new rubberized neck is awful. It feels like you're getting strangled, no matter how much I try to loosen it. The old neck was much more comfortable, just neoprene,, no rubber. What's worse, I've had this suit less than 4 months and the rubber lining around the neck is already disintegrating and rubbing off. Just a head's up.

A good product for the money
I'm happy with the wetsuit. It is a little tight around the neck, but does help to keep the water from running down my front/back. Comfortable to wear, not too hard to take off. Size 8 fits me as it should.

Great suit!
Make sure you check the manufacturers sizing chart. Don't go by clothing sizes. I'm 5'11" 135 and ordered the 12. Fits great. I can see if you have a bigger neck it might be tight.I think the last time I went out the water was high 50s. We'll see how long I can go into the colder months before it's too cold.

fits great - super stretchy and makes allowances if you're slightly ...
kept me really warm in 58F water; fits great - super stretchy and makes allowances if you're slightly larger than size measurements; neck is tight at first but stretches out and is comfortable in water

Love it!
Kept me nice and warm. Size 4 fits well for my 5' 2" and 100 lbs frame.
